Uses 2 AI, one to control the hyper aware Xenomorph and the other one which knows where you are at all times giving hints to the Xenomorph AI about your location (which is why the Xenomorph seems to stall and take too long to leave the room when you're hiding), and then the Xenomorph teleports if captured; the game is straight up cheating...
"The alien doesn't Cheat" Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure buddy. 😒 Also thank you for posting this, i KNEW the alien/ai was cheating somehow. The Director AI is already cheating so why not take it a step further. this game frustrates me more than it ever "scared" me. This scripting wasnt some golden child new age wonder. It's just the same cheating AI's we've always had in the past.
They made this Alien game to be like the original, but they didn't make something like in the script that was not filmed on the first movie. The Alien has so much strength to tear open grill covers and as we remember from ALIENS they can also tear open thick metal doors. The Sevastopol station doors don't look particularly all that strong and that is the issue I have when one can trap the creature. They could had make it as a mission to then in another part or even a cut scene see the Alien tear open the door, grill cover bars, or glass. The best way to showcase its already known horrible self and strength.
Before completing the game, I wanted to have some fun with the Alien, I've done this before and I'd cheered until it's disappeared until I heard a blip on my tracker and I was like "Oh For God's Sake Sega!" went back to being hunted again.
Yup, I trapped the bug in the mini cage on the top floor during the first lock-down quest with Ricardo. I used a noisemaker to lure the bug into the trap while I hid in a nearby vent. The bug stared at the noisemaker and I crawled out to creep over to the adjacent shunt thing and locked the cage door. After I shut the cage door, the bug was angry but soon vanished.
