as you lower the desired F3 frequency total box size increases exponentially. internal volume without port stays the same but you need larger and longer port
I liked Alpine, but I never loved them. Speakers, Amps, Subs all left me wanting when it came to bass. Ultimately, I went back to my JL Audio Amp and 8W3v3 briefly, before I changed over to a Sundown SA sub, which blows both Alpine and JL out the water and Morel speakers, which again, I prefer over the Alpines.
@@damon323 easy. Not enough power to cycle back 🤣 thats why more power makes more sound!!! Cycles. That's just flapping in the wind with that low power. The low power can't keep up with the sound causing clipping.
@@AdamsWorld84 Flapping in the wind causing clipping? Maybe you’re right, I don’t know. But from what I understand, if his amp gains and voltage were properly setup with his head unit, I don’t see how being underpowered can cause to clip anything.
Sub looks great while playing! Have last generations single 12" R in my tahoe. Powered off R-A75 mono amp. Really excited to hear the new subs in person. How you like it?
I didnt have previous gen of type r, had type e box with integrated amp. But now im really impressed how low can it go while keeping in mind thats an 8". And looks like my custom box does great job, sweep from 25 to 80hz sounds flat :D
@@JMZAUDIO internal volume without port, speaker, wood thickness etc is 32,7 liters (almost too much), port length is 220cm, port area is 72cm2. If you want to tune lower i would reccomend you single 12" instead of dual 8s. It has more than double cone area and can play cca half octave lower by specs. Also, the box wouldnt work well for two 8s, its designed for one. If you want to put two, go with cca 45 liters internal vol, 440cm port length and 144cm2 port area, if your trunk is big enough :D
Why don‘t you play it again? :) If you don‘t have your disc anymore maybe you can buy a used copy or download it from the subreddit. There is still a great community! If you have any questions about mods or something feel free to ask me. :)
