I have #331, brown knives is setting the standard for expectations at that price point, no point getting a Koenig or Oz as long as Brown is in the market.
Is it a Cortex XL?? It’s so good! I love mine!! I have #338. We have almost close brother knives. Ha-ha. I took mine apart, and put in Skiffs that made it even more awesomely & buttery smooth.
I honestly didn’t notice any difference between the bearings Craig uses (solid brass, ceramic 12 ball?) and Skiffs in my Cortex XL. I just happened to have some 1/16x3/16 Skiffs laying around, so I figured why not 😅 What I did notice is how the smalllest (and I mean the tiniest) adjustment to the pivot screw makes in the action.
Cool. But seeing another knife named bulldog recently(other being kizer) makes me continue to wonder what the big hubbub was about with vosteed and the mayhem/rskaos.
It's even thinner if you remove or flatten the clip. I keep it in my wallet, and I have a knife that is larger than a keychain knife with S35vn super steel. I also have a Spyderco Bug on my keychain, but this knife works almost like a full-size blade you can keep in a wallet! There is literally nothing else like it. Bravo, SOG, for making it.
Grip is good, but too weak for general use. How does the blade function on regular use for small skinning projects 1Y+ ?? Does the sheath hold out on regular draws?
