Here's the problem I'm having in learning ASL. There is no standard. Some people do signs completely differently and there's not one definitive standard for ASL for a lot of words.
One like!!! This is great stuff. Super useful for me because I build artesian patios using sand in 50lb bags. You’re the best Aaron. Thank you for these videos.
I think this is very smart. I only have striking and weapon experience but I approach it the same way. Position, momentum, and balance over techniques and blocks.
I did a rear naked choke variant in an MMA fight back in the day where I couldn’t get my arm locked because he kept pulling it down and holding it. So, I ended up shifting up a little and grabbing the back of my own neck and then squeezing while leaning into him. He guy tapped so fast I didn’t even get it sunk in as tight as it was going to be. He asked me after what kind of choke that was because he said it was one of tightest chokes he’s ever felt from the back. I’ve used it so many times now and no one tries to stop it because it’s not really a choke anywhere.
I love these standing techniques because they allow you to be as nice or as ruthless as you need to be. I dig this mixture of wrestling and BJJ you teach. Can’t believe more people aren’t hip to your channel.
I saw a video of a street fight where he picked the dude all the way off the ground and choked him unconscious. Gotta wonder if it broke the dudes neck. Yikes.
Today in Krav Training I get surprised by my partner and I tried to escape. I did not work, cause he had so much power pressing me down that there was no chance to lift up. Did not matter hip up or not. No chance. Only way was to make a double leg takedown.
Icy Mike sent me! I don't even travel anymore without packing a smaller 24kg kettlebell. With a kb, & bodyweight calisthenics you can get an amazing training session in pretty much anywhere, & in as little time as you have.
That's a very important part of training. Adding in movement of the weapon, grabs and strikes from the gunmen (prior to getting in contact with the weapon), etc... We run full scenarios and drill this often with our students. I have seen several groups run drills like that, including my original instructor Mark, Fit to Fight. That said, I agree, in my experience this is an overlooked concept for myriad of reasons in the industry. Great observation.
Grab the wrist, twist it side way, break it. If you cant get the wrist you will get the fingers for sure. This is an amazing video. It will need practice so in the mean time, play dirty.
@@Yooo-rx2pq Grab the upper forearm with one hand, grab his hand with the other, pull his hand towards you, while pushing his upper forearm against you. This is not something he can fight, you are using your chest, felt tricep for pushing, your bicep and back for pulling, he only has one side of his arm muscles.
@@mayukhsen8195 I've headlocked him before and he just pulls my arm off with ease but even when i use 2 arms against 1 of his, he just easily adds a lot of force and can control his arm with ease still. (He's 29 and im 15)
@@Yooo-rx2pq Keep practicing, and don't hurt yourself. When I was 150lbs, I was a mean and strong beast. Work your forearm on the floor by doing Hindu push ups, Hindu push ups are the greatest strength exercise for wrestling that was ever created. Also do one arm Downward to upward dog transitions.
Knife grappling is something that interests me very much, great to see someone with great knowledge of grappling adapt it to knife work, love it also the video you did with Eli Knight 👏👍
Interesting to watch Quite different from what I was taught as a LE officer and as Redman bad guy Would be cool to see how these students would fare going up against Kali trained knife fight students also military Special ops In my Krav Maga training no time is waisted with dancing around Close quarter combat tactics against edged weapon attack emphasizes defusers that quickly incapacitate the attacker Eye throat temple/ head assaults fast & hard Eyes being the most effective My first hand experience from an attack ended well for me bad for the attacker Knowing what to do and when is crucial along with having the confidence from practice leading to reliable muscle/ mind memory 🥋⚔🥊💪🚔🇺🇸
It depends on the athlete, their body awareness, and the amount of practice. It can be months before these become natural. When they do become natural, they are greatly beneficial.
