The Herd Channel features the latest innovations and designs in front-end collision protection for semi and pickup trucks. We are also very excited to feature our customers and their testimonials of how their Herd provides them with peace of mind and the ultimate protection when they've needed it.
How about the "Foreign" truckers, who too cheap to stop to take a shit, open up the hole cut in the middle of the floorboards, and shit WHILE driving, all over the driveshaft etc,? Obviously prone to accidents, and they still are allowed to drive. Wow.
Dude you either running your butt off like crazy or your a horrible driver. That many runnings with wildlife is madness. I'm 20+years trucking and I've smacked just 2 creators with my truck
LOL! Lots of people call them all kinds of things! From moose bumper, brush guard, bull bar, etc. Since we make 'em, we call them HERD Guards or Truck Guards!
@@HERDnorthamerica Fair enough. It's just that we've been using them in Oz since the 1930s and they've always been called Bull bars or roo bars. Cheers bloke.
@@HERDnorthamerica When hit at 60 mph a six foot western red roo weighing 200 lb can take out a Kenworth T909 road train! When said road train has a farking beautiful big shiny bar on the front, well unfortunately, that's when Skippy gets turned into mince meat and T909 continues on.
Seriously. When is the American government going to make it mandatory to have good brakes on your semi? It should not be a problem for a driver to lock all 18 wheels and than with abs kicking in you stop on a dime. I see these videos and these fckn ridiculous Peterbilt's or whatever they are are like oil tankers heading on a 2 mile collision course.
We know this isn't a fun reality, but to stop too fast can be dangerous for our drivers as well as the loads they're hauling, which can often be livestock. Our products are made to save the livelihood of those in the industry from the inevitable. (However, this is an extreme case!)
@@HERDnorthamerica I totally disagree with you. I have done several emergency stops with modern Volvo trucks. For the first there is zero danger for the drivers if they wear their seatbelt. Yes, true. If your load is not properly secured it might get damaged. All the stuff in your cabin will fly forward if your cabin is a mess. Life stock might get hurt for sure. But life stock is usually so packed together that they will probably have pain but they don't die under braking. They might die in a crash though 😉. To deliberately drive around with weak breaks for the reasons you mention is just madness. And a cheap excuse for American truck manufacturers to be able to mount VW beetle brakes on 18 wheelers. I am sorry guys. There is a lot of good stuff coming from America but on this one you are totally wrong.
@@ThePhinista A fully loaded Volvo semi on a dry road can stop faster than a Civic. You have just never seen a truck with brakes that are worthy for the 21st century.
