What absolute bullocks I served with this regiment including Afghanistan and not once have they contacted me to see how I’m doing it’s a shit regiment based in a shithole false promises and I’d avoid at all costs Not one fuck do they care about their veterans
The future’s coming […] and I guarantee, the British Army, NATO and all its allies, will not be ready for it, no matter how nimble a fighting force you think you are… The globalists at the WEF are not your friends
Should be really.. 'Royal Northern Irish Regiment' imo They're from a British based, trained and funded army. Unless they're interested in joining The Irish Army, are they proud to actually be Irish? are they truely Irish when serving in a foreign army whose serves under a monarchy. Debatable.. they are all actually Northern Irish, except when it comes to rugby, then they REALLY want to be Irish again (in otherwords, whenever it suits them) somehow I feel there would be a very quick u-turn, and they would be begging to be called something different, as opposed to serving in an actual Irish unit and the only one left would be the wee Dublin lad they managed to find for the video at the beginning, the last one left.
Why ask what you already know. Northern Irish are a British regiment. History goes back for centuries.. Ppl from Ireland were British and some apply to serve very happily in British army like their parent did in many cases
I am fed up hearing that Northern Irish, Ulster Scot Protestants have an all Ireland dimension to them and that they should embrace that. And when they do,they are criticised, such as with the Royal Irish Regiment. My view of modern Ireland is a socialist, papist state which bases its identity on an anti English, anti British platform. Yet the Ireland of Patrick, a member of the Celtic culdee church, was indeed a land of saints and scholars.
I wear my regimental tie with pride, I am English but did a three year tour with these fine people. if I lay awake at night, I can still here them singing even now, some 35 years later.
Only found out recently that my great grandfather was in the Royal Irish regiment from 1875 to 1893 in Templemore Tipperary, my own dad was an Irish soldier, served 6 months in the Congo with the UN, my father in law was in the Irish Guards
He was in the 18th Regiment of Foot 1684-1922 aka The Royal Irish Regiment. My grandfather was in the same regiment and joined in 1899 and served in the South African war and was wounded at Mons. The regimental depot was Clonmel at that time.
Heart's well done! CAN, TELL THAT THE MEN SPEAKING WERE, ARE, AND WILL BE WARRIORS FOR LORD AND SAVIOUR CHRIST JESUS + HEAVENLY FATHER LORD GOD.... 🙏 🕊🐑🕊😇. Luke 1 v 69 - 73 KJV: 69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
Sad when the rangers was took from them wonder how they feel now the numpty Wallace had announced they’re will be a new ranger Btn 😩 where do these Whitehall numptys dream this up regards lion of England Sicily anthem glider troops along with r south Staffordshire brothers 🏴🇬🇧
This is fantastic. As a former infantry captain in the US, I applaud all of the courageous men and women of the Regiment for serving their nation in these challenging times. I’m also very happy to see the Regiment incorporating many aspects of their ancestor units. I only wish that more military commanders would have the courage and ingenuity to incorporate more historically significant items into their units since it is an inexpensive way to boost morale. The USAF recently painted a few A-10 jets in WWII paint schemes such as with black and white “Invasion stripes.” As we say in the US Army, “Rangers Lead The Way!” #RLTW! 🇺🇸🔗🇬🇧
Thank your for your service Cpt. ooha. We had bunches o those warthogs raining shit down on trg targets in Warminster/Salisbury, demo bat, back in 89/90...sum bit o kit. Respect.
So? Scotland’s nation is Scotland, wales is wales, you can be proud Irish and serve the British army. We were once part of the UK. We have a shared history.
It would help Ireland out greatly if the Irish people from the royal Irish regiment joined the Irish army because they are very low on numbers. Nothing against the British it’s just I don’t know why they wouldn’t join their owns countries army instead.
Well, pay is a major problem. I have read far too many reports of solid soldiers having to leave the IDF because they just couldn't afford the bills, were almost homeless, or already were. When you have the minister of defence saying that soldiers can't complain about their pay as well... Honestly, I surprised they haven't been bit in the rear end because of it.
@@David-lu4gqExactly. Thankfully there is a bit of a schism going on recently between the minister for defence and the defence forces themselves. If you look at the news of google it should come up. Anyway it’s not the defence forces that don’t want to pay their fine soldiers, it’s the minister for defence. The army now want control over their money and the future for the idf looks promising. If all this happened then man power wouldn’t be such an issue. Also one last thing, they need to improve conditions for the soldiers. That’s another thing that drives them away.
@@precision2190 Well put. I'm thinking of joining the Foreign Legion, instead of the IDF when I'm a bit older (Go hard or go home right lol). Hopefully the IDF will have control over their own finances soon, as it is sorely needed. Have a good day. 🙂
@@precision2190 Best of luck to you lad, wishing you all the success! Which branch are you joining? I don't think they would be having such a recruitment problem if the pay was half decent, but hey ho. We'll agree to disagree lol. 😊
I want to be a royal Irish warrior. 🇮🇪 ☘️ 🇬🇧 If only the Irish army conditions and pay was better. #IrishRanger Clear The Way. You Would See The World , A Band of brothers side by side Faugh a Ballagh
@@DublinDan More Irish people have served in HM Armed Forces then they have the IDF. More Irish people have fought for HM Armed Forces then against HM Armed Forces 🇬🇧✌️☘️
Have some pride, join the Irish army, I don't see the need to join in 2023, back in the 1900s and 1800s sure, but it's 2023 we're an independent country
If northern Ireland is apart of Britain why would you use the Irish shamrock for your armies I guess northern Ireland is really a part of Ireland enough said
@@niallobrien1220 If it's part of Ireland then why all the belly-aching? And as for your original point, the Shamrock is a symbol of Ireland (the island) not the Republic of Ireland only.
