Call to Television technical historian anoraks out there. This was an ATV production with an American host. So it was quite likely aimed at Lew Grade’s preferred market. I would assume it was recorded at Elstree, which could work NTSC/PAL. It’s interesting that the VT clock at the beginning said that the recording was PAL. I noticed a couple of off-locks during the video; not usually a Quad VTR-type fault, more helical. I wonder what the history of the archiving of this clip is. Lastly (sorry), the little bits of inlay looked good. ATV had just begun using Ultimatte for CSO by this time, I wonder if it was used here. And yes, I do appreciate the music as well, but all of a production adds up to the time in history that bore it to us.
Originally written, recorded and released by Texas outlaw artist Richard Dobson in 1977. This version appeared on Carlene’s 1980 LP “Musical Shapes” and was later covered by her mother June and stepfather Johnny Cash and released posthumously in 2014.
I was a Big Fan of his went to a lot of his concerts. Sadly, (and I speak from first hand experience) he is in a CULT LIKE MINISTRY!!! Up around Love Valley near Statesville NC.
Absolutely. It always was. The Mahogany Gargoyle added zero, bar his name and many zeros to his bank balance on the back of the other talented musicians in the band.
It's like John became a different person after Ono.. literally. Elliott Mintz - prime propagandist of the devil herself. Maybe the truth will out to the masses one day. 🤔
Someone raided the archives for this. This looks like a broadcast copy and at some point transferred to a digital format post in the post HD era (no analog VHS artifacts here, thank God). Thank you.
Zed cars? wasn't everyone in the galaxy on that show? The Beatles did make movies, too. Man, however one sees them as 60s dates from that footage, nothing says dated 1980s like that mullet hairdo. Man. I keep wonder what they film they keep talking about making was going to be, maybe instead of "Head" it would have been called "Foot"?
The Move, and later ELO were/are so good. Roy's voice is very recognisable - countertenor?. However on some Move songs Jeff or Carl seem to be singing in a very similar register. I'm confused!
YEAH YOUSUF MY NICK NAME IS CAT WHEN I WAS YOUNG I WAS A STRAY CAT NOW I AM A DOMESTIC CAT I LIVE ALL BY MYSELF WITH MY CAT JACK TO BE WITH ME IN MY SOLITUDE BUT IT IS OK BECAUSE I AM AN ARTIST AND I CAN PAINT I WISH YOU MORE CREATIVE YEARS IT IS NICE TO LISTEN TO YOU I AM ILL AND YOUR MUSIC COMFORTS ME
Every video of them is lip syncing.. I have never seen them actually play live.. I wonder if they even could.. I mean, I loved their music but it seems to me they were just pretending to be a band. Mike Smith was a great vocalist. That may be the only real thing about them
@j.denino5732 oh because it’s different from the studio version. 😀 Also that’s not an organ that’s a Fender Rhodes electric piano, there are flutes though
bleak city of liverpool, would ya fcuk off. Liverpool in the 60's was buzzing, not only because of the music scene but the football scene. They were all extremely proud of their roots, that went on to reach 4 corners of the world. Minsk is a bit of a shithouse, and a champion of all things John Lennon. The beatles were 4 talented members, and not just the magnificent John, they all were brilliant
