Rents have increased 20% due to Inflation. In real terms over the period the rent is lower because in fact inflation has been higher. Also, demand must be lower because interest rates have gone up 10 times in that period so anyone borrowing to buy a flat is hit hard.

The London government is still stunting Manchester’s growth. If Manchester was given proper investment in transport, it would take the pressure off the capital but the micromanaging, by both the Tories and Labour from Westminster, continues to stop Manchester and other cities, meeting their full potential.
Manchester is growing unlike any other City right now in the UK North-West, and it must be said, that out of the whole country, this city is the ONLY city actually on-track with its housing development plans. More housing, more people, more jobs, more money, more houses! It's been a few hundred years since the industrial revolution, but at long last Manchester's getting the boom that was waiting for it. Now's the best time to invest before the full boom hits.

If water levels rise they'll just have gates at the end of the Mersey to control the levels like they do in the likes of Venice and places in Holland. obviously aren't going to let the city flood 😂
@Rosse you'd have to build a wall round the city as the water would just come in via low lying sefton. The Alt would probably back up and flood other areas of the city as well.
