Yeah, Have been waiting to see this video. Tks sooo much. Luv Luv Luv KD. She is outstanding. Every song she sings, she adds the Lang Magic to it. She is absolutely out on her own. Such a beautiful person, with an amazing Talent. 🇮🇪💚
I have always loved this version. Masterfully acted, with great support by May Robson who compliments Janet Gaynor during the film. This is classic cinema!
I love this version, the coffee tray. Shame she didn't do these actions in the proper dress, they might have used this take. but the one in the movie is perfection.
The artistry of a voice that moves hearts, souls....is k.d.'s calling card. In spite of the tragic unknown of the video, I find myself in envy of such a love as is shown.
Interesting to see this . The final version used in the film is much more effective, with the darker colours and lighting and camera work. Can see why the director preferred the other version.
This is from the Red, Hot + Blue Project to promote awareness of the AIDS problem and generate funding to fight AIDS. I have the CD, but somehow the DVD was hard to come by in the Netherlands. Luckily, now there is RU-vid. Thank you for posting this clip.
You don't miss a lot, the original DVD (I have the 2-disc edition from 2006) has absolutely terrible audio and video quality. Idk if they released a remastered version in the meantime.
This version Judy does completely destroys me every time I listen to this. Sexy music arrangement too. This is truly the best. She got cheated out of her oscar for this movie. Hollywood you can still right this wrong. Give an honorary to the kids.
I've heard many versions but hers is on a whole other level. Her langour and pathos coupled with the emotional intensity of delivery - as if she's lived every ecstatic, heartbreaking line of this song... Sheer artistry!
This video came out thirty plus years ago. I truly believed we would see Jodi a lot more often after this magnificent performance. Sadly, such has not been the case. I am memorized by her every time I play this.
Of course you could mention of Hugh Jackman that he is one of the great TRIPLE THREATS, and that would really say it. But I like to say he is simply one of the great consummate performers of his time.
Not the video, which it's (brilliantly) a such hard, bittersweet thing to watch, it's the performance. It''s the vocal and the emotional ability to take the moment to you. You're there while it's all happening. You're there where everyhing is happening. You're there... because someone is showing you how to be in there. And that someone, with everything showing, is k.d. I've known this song for such a good long time, nobody has shown me what this song was about but k.d. So... thank you.
