Well done for getting the crosses head to throat - by far the best way to do it. A little tip, use the Diabolo to wind the string around before pulling tension. Much kinder on the string, giving the string better consistency.
Thanks for the reply! What sort of edge grind angle did you use? Or did you make it convex? Very impressed with how sharp that it. I use a convex type edge on my Opinel 8.
@Kingsmanly Sharpened with a Gatco sharpening system, the last stone a ceramic 1200 grit one, then finished with polishing paste on a leather strop. The blade is polished with the same polishing paste.
