You have to find the blue UNLRA crates on the island. The starter village has three of these crates, pha Lang airport has one, and there is one in ban pa and tiger bay. Some require keys to get to, but some don't. And then you just hope you find one!
@@RaptorRising Yeah don't you remember by any chance the exact location where you have found it? Or like if it was inside a UN firearm's box( starter villages, ban pa, pha Lang) or inside a UN firearm's crates( like Tiger bay UN HQ). Cause I've farmed UN HQ or Pier crates a thousand of times but never seen this M4 buffer tube fde
They're in the blue crates around the map in starter village, pha Lang airport, ban pa and tiger bay. They are NOT in the UNHQ container or the pier crates. They spawn at very low frequency, so it's just luck of the draw.
that guy at 6:55 got hit so hard he changed his outfit lol. Also, about those green textures, i took a peak on google maps at the area around Camp Bastion, and there are a lot of these very green small crop fields, so they are technically accurate, i think the problem is the resolution on the textures is currently too low, to the point it looks weird.
Haha you saw that! That was a weird bug. Thanks for checking maps on that. Good to know the green patches are supposed to be there - I agree, they look really low res and that's probably what makes them stand out in a weird way.
Great video, I am stuck deciding between the SE and the Viper to start learning. Ive always been passionate abt the Mudhen and was disheartened to hear abt Razbam vs. ED. I wanted to know if you think the Mudhen is in a capble state and worth the risk if im passionate? TIA
I just got done with a campain focused around the Strike Eagle and had zero issues. And if you're just getting started, the F-16C Falcon is the ONLY way to go. The F-15E is a very complex module and has a steep learning curve. The Falcon is much better for learning. The nice thing about the Viper is it seems like every type of mission you want to use it for, it's like it was specially made for that mission. CAP, SEAD, CAS, ground attack, recon...it's all perfectly suited to the F-16C.
As much as I love the Strike Eagle, I can't recommend it until we know more about what is going to happen to it in the future. The Viper is an awesome jet, though, and if you chose that to start with it would be a good choice. I'd recommend trialing it if you haven't already to make sure it's your cup of tea.
Amazing work as always my friend. 👍🏾 I download your videos to watch on plane rides. Also if you dont mind how much does your setup cost including track ir i dont play dcs yet but have been wanting to get started lately.
Setup can vary greatly... trackir has gotten more expensive since when I bought it. I think it's like 250 now but could be wrong. But hotas system is something like 500 or 600 with rudder pedals and what not. It's not a cheap hobby!
Idk if I’m just dumb or what but how do you run and look to your sides at the same time?😂 I swear I’ve looked in the keybinds options and don’t see anything like that
The tasks can be repetitive and a lot of them are stuck behind keys. The AI is brutal and you'll be punished for any mistake you make. But the gunplay, graphics and mechanics are awesome. The game has a long way to go but even the devs admit that. I purchased the supporter edition and with way more than 200 hours in, I do not regret that decision at all. If you do buy it, just be aware that you're buying a pre alpha and be okay with dealing with bugs and issues for a while.
AI is punishing for sure but yeah most of the time I go solo. The thing that keeps me alive longest is to exploit cover and not repeek the AI while they're still aggro.
@RaykonDien it depends on what resolution you want and your targeted fps. You're probably going to be around 50-60 fps in some places. The game has a way to go for optimization still. That being said, it plays really smooth at that rate since it's really geared toward pve
I have come to believe that dispersion refers to how much a bullet breaks apart when it hits something. Most of my testing so far seems to show that tracers are just as capable as m855a1 while being cheaper. They're also slightly heavier, so they hit enemies slightly harder, too.
@@RaptorRisinglol no, that’s not how it works. Original comment is correct. What you are talking about is called fragmentation/expansion. Dispersion is only for accuracy.
I will do some testing. In my experience they don't appear to affect accuracy out of the gun at all but I'll try to do a more thorough breakdown. They definitely make the M700 more lethal/consistent.
@@RaptorRising disprrion is not reflective if accuracy, but rather armor pen. The less dispersion, the less the round breaks apart (or disperses) in armor or flesh. Since all enemies have armor lowest dispersion ammo is inherently the best
No disrespect to the AC-130, but the Apache deployed in greater numbers and can operate in day and night. Plus, I can't fly an AC-130 in DCS yet. Maybe some day!
I know it seems out of place but in Helmand province you would have green zone meet the desert. I would wear desert bottoms and a green camp top. Afghanistan is a wired place lots of different environments.
Awesome, thanks for the comment! Does the pallette match what you saw? I know Afghanistan has lots of different climates, so weird things can happen. I am more concerned with the textures of those spots. They seemed kinda low res.
@@RaptorRising yes I think they are getting there but I have to agree the ground textures leave you wanting more. Those green patches should also be corn fields, Poppyfields, and weed fields. So hopefully they work on the textures so we can distinguish between the two.
Hey bro they actually rendered IR signatures for the 30mm rounds in the Apache! Next time you get the chance, you should totally try shooting at a target around 0.8-1.4 km and you'll notice it in FLIR!
Yeah, I know. That's not the question that was being asked. Every time I drop an Apache video, someone asks why my helmet looks different, and it's because of the way VR records into 2D.
Bought the full map, just done some of the included F-16 missions. Absolutely loving the map, especially knowing the history there's an inescapable gravity - and it looks absolutely gorgeous. (Top spec pc, triple 32s).
A nice build but I prefer the QDSS on the KAC QD flash-hider over the RC1/SFSP combo as it has a greater affect on noticeable sound - not sure how the AI respond but for PVP it helps
@@RaptorRising I hadn't noticed that. I've seen the tan P-Mags and have built an (almost) entirely tan DDM4/MK18 with the tan SOPMOD stock. Its a shame Gunny/Banshee lvl3 don't sell some of the rarer items like that.
I jumped to this map with F-16 free flight instant mission, and couldn't handle my plane. On other maps F-16 is stable, but here is total mess. Has anyone experienced something similar?
Maps, maps, maps,... and new half finished models... what about the core game??? Meanwhile I enjoy BMS for 5 Dollars and an amazing ATC and 90 fps in VR.. 😊
@@RaptorRising Didn't mean to be divisive. I enjoy both. But I am disappointed how such an amount of money and human ressources can't at least keep up with core mechanics of DCS. Just has the bad taste of a StarCitizen-like philosophy.
This new way of selling the maps was something we thought might help those in parts of the world who are not able to afford the entire map. The entire map will be the biggest map in DCS when done. Just owning one section will be more than enough for some people to enjoy. It may not work out, and we may go back to just selling the whole map, but we wanted to try and many have purchased just the SW.
Looks good, but so few players. We would need active mission maps where AI would attack so land as air so it would keep interest on even if just few players in a server. It would be time to concentrate to AI mission packages.
Agreed. Unfortunately, that comes down to the mission makers for now. Hopefully the dynamic campaign comes along some day. That should help with the emptiness.
So far, my experience on a high end system is, this was another map rushed out to market. It looks stunning in some areas and awful in others. (I’m only talking about the Southwest detailed area). The map has some serious performance issues in some areas as well when flying at treetop level in any of the helicopters. Most of the mountains look un textured with too many straight lines. I know they keep denying it but I truly wonder about the financial situation of ED when they keep rushing these things out which they have no choice in due to loving the pre-order sales. I hope it improves. I skipped Kola due to this.
Nope, no financial issues at all, and the map is Early Access and it's an absolutely huge map, it will end up being one of the biggest when it's done. Something to keep in mind as well there are a ton of customers who have spent real time here, and getting their feedback and reports during EA will only make it that much better.
Personally...... Very disappointing map. Yes, it's Afghanistan..... Can't change geography. But I feel the textures are very poor, low res very similar to initial (and up until this release patch) south Atlantic map. Kola is the same. Very laggy, lots of small bugs. But... Tbh, this style of release has Beccome common place. I know why..... I don't like it, and it needs to stop. Ed......help Fund the developers until a polished full product is ready. Sell the product and deduct your pre funding and your agreed profit. This releasing dogshit and then fixing it over a year and a half is more damaging than beneficial I think.
