For 5 years, Chris and Paul built a fantastic following of subscribers, who eagerly awaited each Friday for the latest video to drop, documenting the vehicle builds, adventures, and beer tales coming from Paul’s garage.
So much time, effort, and dedication take their toll. For still yet unknown reasons, the pair went their separate ways.
I recently discovered Paul had decided to delete the Channel. Not only was it 5 years of hard work and expense, but it also became a fantastic resource for fellow off-road enthusiasts and Overlanders. It was always enjoyable to sit back with a beer and be reminded of the fun times we shared and the adventures we had.
With that in mind, I decided to set up the Channel again and load up all the videos we created.
I do plan to return - both Angela and I are set on building a capable camper/motorhome in the not-to-distant future. When I do, I plan to rename everything “Chester’s Chop Shop”, in memory of my incredible dog, Chester, who I lost in 2021.
I get mixed reports about the twin inlet manifold. Some say they don't se much difference so it isn't worthy the cost. I don't know yet if I will bother. Isn't that Hi lift on the bonnet illegal?
Hi, I have just replaced my lift pump as per my video on my channel but I didn’t put in the spacer I wasn’t aware of it even thou my new pump came with it. I can’t see how by moving the lever away from the cam actually helps anything. I would think it would make the pump less efficient in my view as the cam won’t be touching the lever.
OK Chris and Paul I am on the cusp of buying a second hand TuffTrek Overland (like yours) but I have heard that if you are over 5'9 the bed length can be a bit short. Can you comment on the length issue at all or are you short enough for this nbot to have been an issue? My partner is 6' . Cheers
Thats nice looking, can I ask have you got any ideas on how to remove raptor/bedliner. Its been put on my Defender 90 by cowboys, before I bought it. Would like it done again. Any idea would be useful thanks
My 97 90 300TDI Pick-up, Peggy, runs great completely stock, being the Yin to your Yang when it comes to weight lol. She runs great stock and well serviced, giving 30 MPG. I could easily run taller tyres she's drivable in 5th at 30mph, but I tow my carvan, as opposed to having a house on her back, so keep her factory. Your new inlet manifold mod seems a very logical step even on standard set up. My intercooler is looking a bit passed it, would you suggest an ideal replacement to work with the twin inlet manifold please. I can tig weld and am tempted to make one, but it would be much easier to buy it. Also do you need to send your old manifold back exchange, so they can make another ? Oh, and does your Landy also have a name ? Landyloon in Aberdoon 😃
First came across one of these Glind Shower Kits back in 2012 doing the Simpson Desert treck in Australia, brilliant piece of kit especially after long days winching and digging yourself out the sand on hot days, or just to have a shower and freshen up after 2 or 3 days free camping. Been keeping my eyes open for a second hand Heat Exchanger kit for a couple years, and two popped up on Facebook Marketplace this week, one a Twine Heat Exchanger the other the full Glind kit same as yours, so hoping to pick-up one this week for half the retail price here in Aust.
I just scored a full kit in a case for FREE, took a 2.5hr round trip drive up to Sunshine Coast to collect, but was well worth the time to get this amazing piece of kit!
San Miguel in a can? glass, beer is served in a glass ... usually a bottle, which is made from glass. You'll be drinking that supermarket shite that is sold in 2 litre plastic bottles next. now back to the side story: That is the part missing from my engine, hopefully it will cure the plume of black smoke from low down torque
say NO to carpet lining. Carpet lining is for VW T4 and T5 owners who do not know any better, or for campervan converters looking for cheap interiors. Vinyl lining in a cab is jet washable, try the same with carpet lining.. Vinyl material is available in many textures and colours .... have a google.
