Mi Favorito Top N°1 de los "Modern Drummers"; sólo algunas razones de aquello considerando cualquier video que veamos de él: 1.- Tienes que ser muy bueno si en tus inicios fuiste el Batero de Jean Luc Ponty en los años '90. 2.- Incomparable "limpieza" en cada nota; ejecuta cada una con clara distinción, con la velocidad que le plazca y por todo el set tanto en el sentido de las manejillas del reloj como en contra de ellas. 3.- Todo lo anterior pero además con ese agarre de baquetas "BOSS MODE", máximamente atrás, que hasta de verlo me da miedo que alguna salga volando por los aires y que nunca le ha pasado y creo que al menos en esta vida, ya no le pasó. 4.- Un ESTILO ÚNICO y SONIDO CON MARCA REGISTRADA. 5.- ESTILO ÚNICO (entendido como SU "toque" técnico y SU "toque" Estético) que incluye además Grooves innovadores e inpensados en su posibilidad. 6.- Calidad Intimidante al oído y al ojo PERO nunca deja de ser MOTIVADOR, al menos para mí, de querer seguir tocando aún cuando sepa que ni con 4 brazos y 4 piernas más podría llegarle siquiera a los talones. 7.- Musicalidad y Buen Gusto, aún cuando vaya a 400 bpm en el bombo con un sólo pedal alternando toms a una mano y la otra en la nuca. 8.- Sentido del Show y un Humor brillante tanto tocando como hablando. Podría seguir pero ya se me durmieron los dedos tanto escribir y además tengo unos "deseos diarréicos" de volver a ver el video y seguir confirmando lo espectacular de DON DAMIENCITO🙏🥁🙏. Definitivamente, cualquier batería con buen parche y bien afinada, suena bien. Solo DW decepciona por lo cara y bien hecha, que no suene espectacular, como uno supondría.
Got some serious fast twitch muscles going on there, holy sheite!! He doesn't seem to get the fame that he should in my opinion, he's absolutely one of the greatest drummers going. Amazingly unique. One of those rare payers that can sound like a freakin machine

Damien est un EXTRATERRESTRE de la batterie... Il y a un IMMENSE travail derrière tout ça mais aussi un MAGISTRAL talent, respect pour son oeuvre... d'art.
J'ai dû déjà réagir sur cette prestation ! Bref, tu es capable de tout techniquement, artistiquement, et tu développes la créativité maximale. Pour ma part, meilleur... où deuxième meilleur, mais je ne connais plus le premier ! batteur mondial.
Este tipo es increíble. Lo conocí en un concierto que dio Alain Caron en México hace unos años. El tipo habla y entiende el español, además de ser un tremendo músico, estaba de gira con Caron y al otro día se fue a Italia a tocar con Jean Luck Ponti...en ese tiempo me dijo que no tenía casa pues vivía de gira y en hoteles. Un crack.
I wish I knew what he said about the foot technique starting at 35:00. It's clear that it is NOT a simple slide technique, but he makes it look so effortless and fluid at such incredible speed, and the control is phenomenal. Many years ago I was taught a similar technique with an "up" stroke and "down" stroke, but it is very difficult to get right and never felt comfortable for me, even though I can do it (just nowhere near as fast as this).
