yes because if you payed any attention to the story THERE BODY TEMPRETURE IS 12X THAT OF HUMANS+ their cooler things on the back can only keep them cool if the air temp is below 35C I would sayor else they would just overheat and die Edit but between the 1st and 2nd game they developed more advanced coolers so they invaded all the hot continents eventually
Don't forget that the Chimera was also able to control the weather, so they would have simply brought winter to any desert climate and then invaded the snow covered desert.
