My mark x makes metal clicking noise whenever I step on the brake pedal. I have tried so many ways to get rid but no improvement. My mechanic says it is a fitment issue as in the break pad seems not fitting therefore lose. Changed brake pads so many times with different brands but no positive result. Your take please?
You need the oil removal tool (65P-14) to remove the oil canister housing. Then, remove the oil drain plug. After draining all the oil, reinstall back the oil drain plug, as well as the oil filter within the canister. Torque back to specs... then fill up the oil from the top of the engine. There's a very detailed guide by Car Care Nut on RU-vid that the detailed steps. For 4GR-FSE - the oil you need will be around 6 x litres. On paper the specs will say 6.3litres of oil - but I found this to be only around 5.3lit. Because no matter how much oil you drain, there will roughly be around 1lit still remaining inside the engine system...
These were never designed to be modified. You can make small additions like you mentioned but you will gain very little HP for the work IMO. If your looking for performance from these I'd roll with the 3.0 super charged version of these. If you can find one 👀
Cold air intake will only do marginally to increase HP. You can go for lighter tyre rims to reduce weight so that acceleration off the line can be faster. And carbon-fibre the crap out of everything you can, for things like the front hood.
you think I could just remove the bottom unit and put some cheap bluetooth stereo in there which connects to the speakers so I can play music through bluetooth cause thats the only reason i would change anything, the head unit is fine for me in every way except u cant even play audio through bluetooth on the stock stereo lol
Hi, yes it does. I replaced the factory surround for another surround off another mark x that had the separate heater controls. Only had to plug back in 1 plug out of the 10 or so I took out of the factory unit
On my X130 the windows trick was disabled, I found an app (I think it is Carista OBD2) and using an android tablet and a Wi-Fi ODB2 dongle I was able to enable it, I was also able to change the unlock door to be driver then all doors instead of just all doors. There are more but these are the two I remember.
The "unlock" all windows trick works because there is a Chinese piggy-back JOBD dongle device that is installed behind the driver's doorcard that bypasses the default behavior of the locking mechanism - allowing the "double-pressing" unlock/lock to work in bringing the windows up/down. That device hooks up into the window switches by the driver's door switch console. The default behaviour of the Mark X does not allow for lowering of the windows by double-pressing the unlock button on the key fob.
Rear pads were not fitting only one pad would go in after pushing the piston back the other pad wouldn't padd through the calliper and disc is ther an adjustment on the caliper only has one bolt at the top
Hi , I changed the stereo on mark x following ur instructions. But i ended up with a situation when i hook up rev cam swc stops working and visa-versa- i m trying to install Lumina BTN 580.
You can find the adaptor you need to retain the factory reverse camera. It's a direct plug and play so should resolve you're issue:www.crazysystems.co.nz/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1352
What is the other mark x you have there with the Aircon controls on the bottom as I have the same in my mark x and I need to get the same one you have so I can still have my Aircon controls etc
I got the surround with the separate heater controls from a user in a mark x Facebook group. Some models come with the the integrated system that controls the heater / AC and reverse camera and some models have the separate heater controls
@@ipposfireworks This is the best place ive found for used parts. The following link is just to the part required that's in question. You may find the same part cheaper by seaching for the part on the site directly. This is just an example: autoparts.beforward.jp/detail/Interior-Parts/Other-Steering-Parts/PA66793122/
@@deentigerland2100 thought so, I'm based in Invercargill, just got a 2006 mark x. Thinking of doing this in the future but i don't know if i trust myself to do it haha. Plus i don't wanna lose any of the features so I'm not sure on what headunit to get
@@LeoAnLion it's really not that hard. If you wanted to retain your steering wheel controls you would need to use and adaptor wiring harness from supercheap auto. Retaining the factory reverse camera is a matter of finding the right pin on the 20 pin connector.
@@LeoAnLion yes. You only retain one plug from the original top unit. This plugs into the only female plug on the back of the surround you are going to be using. This retains the heater and a/c controls with no issues. It's pretty much plug and play. I went for an after market reverse camera as my new headunit has a couple of video in ports and comes with a reverse trigger wire.
Stereo install up. Will be adding another one soon showing how to connect the factory reverse camera to a aftermarket head unit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5YfSOSrZzwU.html
