At that time of recording and my research Quetzaltenango, was the second largest city with a population of 200,000. But As of right know Cobán is number 4 With a population of 212.047. Villa Nueva is number 2 with a population of 618,397 but it’s still consider to be part of Guatemala City’s population.
Hey friend - keep up the videos! Though if I must suggest. The thumbnail doesn’t match the content. Showing you on a lake with googles and drone but it ends up there was no scene like this. This leads to higher click rate. But low retention. Which sends bad signals to RU-vid. It’s like buying a product on the shelf because the packaging shows one thing. But the item doesn’t do that one thing. So you return it. And the retail store discontinues your item because their numbers show it has a high return rate and they don’t like returns. Perhaps you could have at least did the intro from the lake on the paddle board. Show a little bit of flying and clearly stating what the video will be (you did explain at the beginning which was good) Anyway, I sell products online which is no different from RU-vid videos. For almost 2 decades now. I have yet to start a channel. I just don’t know of what yet 😂 Keep it up though ! 🤘
Yes the Santiaguito, is one of the most active lava-dome located in the town of Quetzaltenango, The Volcano Of Fuego is the one located near Antigua which is also Active.
We stayed in an Airbnb inside the “Torre La Floresta”. It’s definitely an amazing location and it’s super nice inside the building. It’s also really close to the Center of Xela.
Totally Agree it’s definitely a challenge driving In Guatemala City but not impossible. For the most part Public or local transportation those definitely take much more time to get around. Thanks for watching and i appreciate your support 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Great video ! We just moved to Xela 2 months ago and plan to be here for a year or two. We want to visit 6-8 more countries in search of our favorite retirement city but after we are done traveling we could easily find ourselves retiring here…love it here ! You went to Punto Vegano ! We eat there !

Yes I my self was surprised on see some going up to $500USD. Some are definitely pricey and definitely it’s always nice seeing people wearing the Typical Clothing. It’s a True Art and it’s an amazing way of keeping the Guatemala Culture Alive 🙌🏽

@@iluv2_travel My Favorite Towns around the Lake are San Juan and San Marcos. San Marcos definitely has some amazing Airbnbs will full panoramic views and are amazing to relax. San Juan has lots of activities and lots of arts and viewpoints. A town that’s more local and isn’t to touristy that I’ve been too is Santa Cruz it’s also a very safe and relaxing town to stay in. Overall you can stay anywhere around the Lake Atitlan and you won’t be disappointed.

I typical don’t stay in hotels but Guatemala has so much amazing Airbnbs. I stayed in an Airbnb near the Zone 10. You can definitely find some amazing deals with great views.

A drone permit is not required for recreational use but it is required for commercial drone use in Guatemala. I got mine through "uavsystemsinternational" but you can also obtain it through a new kiosks system they have their just ask any security person working there and they can help you with that. I use a Smart-remote RC Pro Controller it gives me a range of up to 9 miles. It all Depends on the drone you have and the remote controls range. But yes I did have signal on top of the Volcano. For cellular data defiantly use roaming.

So it’s a day and a half It’s $600 Quetzals for Acateango Volcano and an additional $200 to hike up the Fire Volcano. You get 4 Meals Included for the whole trip. @@joebust779 I would highly recommend the dryer season which is Nov- April the best time weather wise. But they are always hiking so it all depends on what best works for you.
