Apart from the straight line steering vibration IRL all other steering movements are near identical. I think if you set the FFB a bit higher it will replicate that perfectly as well
It's laser scanned, meaning the track is basically 100% accurate. Every bump in iracing is exactly where that same tiny bump would be in real life, to the thousandth of an inch. It's amazing, really.
Compare the tyre slip from both videos on the front right tyre, so far off. Now go watch an onboard of an RSS Formula Hybrid 2021 or 2020 and see how accurate the tyre model seems to be.
you are viewing it from a different FOV hence the difference in slip angle, if you notice the steering input is near identical if not completely identical
This lap was done without a direct drive wheel, so if you check put one of my latest videos, it’s driven with a dd and it looks and feel more accurate to the real life inputs
It's not a shame, Codemasters (now EA Sports) has exclusivity of explore F1. And certainly the contract rescission is very expensive. So, it's not a matter of iRacing don't want to, they are not legally allowed. Same worth to F3 since it's FIA took control a few years ago. About this F Alpine I have no idea.
Such a cool video man! congrats! Maybe you could post your car setup as well in the description? At least suspension geometry, tire pressure and wings, would be very helpful!
@@gregorionocco5641 this is when you realize that Codemasters may be lazy because it's not like they don't have the money from one of the best selling sim game out there

iRacing literally came out in 2006 and has been in constant development ever since. if you had ever driven iRacing, you’d quickly realise that it’s not the graphics we play for, it’s the simulation experience. mandatory no assists, only cockpit cam while driving etc
@@floydkerr I have all of those as well, and despite rF2 being the best simulation, iRacing is the only one where I have something else to do other than doing laps against AI :)
It seems iRacing suffers from the same problem Assetto Corsa had. When Kunos first started pushing out Formula cars, these would explode hundreds of meters into the air because the suspension code was flawed. Stefano's "solution" was to do a global suspension softening on all formula cars of about 25%, which is why you always see their F1 cars with a much softer suspension than the real cars. The same seems to be happening to iRacing.
