As a hobbit fan who was TRAUMATIZED by Thorin's death I thought looking at the shooting od the scene would demystify it and it would feel less dramatic and sad. I was wrong.
Good heavens above, why didn’t they use this take of Bilbo’s reaction to Thorin’s death in the film? His hyperventilating, the way his denial shifts into that look of sheer agony? He literally looks like his very soul is being ripped from his chest. OMG what a gut punch - this is a million times better than the take they used in the movie! Not that Freeman wasn’t already fantastic in the chosen take, but this take was on a whole other level.
I would love to see Mr A. On Strictly but he has said he will never do it. He trained as a dancer so he would be amazing! Love him also as Bond but that role is really demanding physically and he may not be willing to risk I juries - I'd settle for a Bond villain tho! Thanks for posting this I would never get to see it in Canada. 🇨🇦
