Biographies of the Greatest Guitarist of the Rock Era (last 60 years). These videos are short overviews and not meant to be deep dive all inclusive expose's on the artist. Let me know what you like/ don't like about the video's. I will be making video's about player's from Rock, Metal, Country, Pop, Jazz, Acoustic, ect. If they are a good player, I will get a video made about them. Let me know who you would like to see a video about.
Seriously criminally, tragically underrated. My feeling is this entire band, every single member, may be the creators of the finest American band ever. EVERYONE likes the cars even Metalheads, myself included.
Rudolf has been for Scorpions exactly the same Lars has been for Metallica : a pretty basic musician per sé with a great taste in music and composition and more important a huge sense of business... Legends are made also of these things not only of flawless technical skills and unforgettable voices.
Yes. Oooooh look Im going to do something and I’m major hammer ons all the way up the neck, watch out. Uh oh here comes a tap, oh boy basic blues lick on the way. But when you wrap it all up in a chorus pedal so it all sounds out of tune, legendary guitarist. What a load of bullshit. Most overrated guitarist of my lifetime
Malcolm (is it or Malcom)? is one of the most beloved guitar players of our time! He just was not as flashy as Eddie or Yngwie and did not care about the spotlight very much, but his massive rhythm skills made him a true guitar legend from the beginning on. Sure, not underrated, everyone knows him. I do, and I live in the Alps of Austria. A goat Herder. That should tell all. Still very good video my man and I will be watching, Thank you
Thats the incorrect John Stevens. It was the legendary British jazz drummer and band leader by the same name that you are referring to.I know this because I worked with John for anumber of years and played support to Alan at the famous 100 club in London in 1981. Nigel Moyse
EE n Keith with Brain Adams band have incredible tasteful, melodic memorable geetar playing,, hopefully if not recognize in their talents there composate well for their contribution in some of the greatest pop rock music
Without a doubt he's VERY UNDER APPRECIATED. He is in my opinion one of the greatest most technical, phrase creating guitarists in Rock history. His guitar solos in ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE is in the top 5 greatest solos ever recorded.
Imagine how many people know over a dozen of their songs right from the first riff.....then how many do not know his name. Probably the greatest unknown guitarist of the 70s and 80s. The craziest thing is he switched to playing left handed as an adult when their producer wanted to get the "Beatles look" on stage.
@@greatguitaristoftherockera2833 Yeah look up some interviews he's done....he speaks of it. My question is how in the hell can you learn to play like that with your non-dominant hand? I can't even hold a fork with my left hand!!!
I've met him a few times here in Fort Wayne, IN at Sweetwater. He's a real neat guy. Someone you can easily have a conversation with just as if he were a friend. He signed my one of one Masterson quilt top guitar amp for me when he was doing a live session in the cafeteria area at Sweetwater with the band winger. Much respect. I have 67 signatures right now multiple musicians. I'm going to donate it to the Fort Wayne Historical Museum at some point. I'm also writing a book about the musicians who signed it, how I got the signatures, if it was at a concert what the show was like,, the weather, the crowd etc. when I think I have enough chapters or run out of room for signatures , I'll stop and sell the book on Amazon and donate the amp. After I record with it a few times that is. 👍💯😎 Reb is a class act for sure. Oh which brings me to Yngwie who wouldn't sign it. But I actually thank him for that because that made me realize I should include those who wouldn't sign it as well. I was about ten feet from him and only three people there and he refused to sign it and acted as if I didn't even exist. Yngwie Malmsteen that is. Not such a class act But I'm not mad I'm not bitter he's a great player. But I can remember Reb's music much easier than Yngwie so there's that.
The best. My best European friend. I love y Ronni and my wife Sandra does too. Give your wife Annette and daughter Corina a small kiss on the cheek for me.
Paul has his place no doubt. He is however, to me, a great Yngwie influenced player.. And you can hear VH and Randy Rhoads. Paul has proven that lots of practice can yield results. He inspired me big time. But alas, my heroes are more 'feel' type players where Paul may sound a bit robotic. Great but there is a mojo that seems to not be there. If I want Racer X style, I will throw on Malmsteen first solo album and get goosebumps......
I have been a lifetime Sykes fanatic since i first saw him with Lizzy in1983. I agree he WAS Whitesnake 87 a Superb album which showcased his musical genius & phenomenal guitar playing!!❤❤
I like his solo albums a lot, and the guy has a great positive vibe that's contagious. I interviewed him, he was awesome. One seriousely awesome shred instrumental track i really like: "let the computer decide"
He is excellent guitar player . I Like the albums and live concert of Racer-x , Paul's band and some guitar of stuffs of him . But when people compare him to Slash, Jimmy Page or other guitar players , and say that Paul is better because he plays faster and with more technique, they forget that music as a whole, as a composition, is much more than virtuosity. Although I love Paul's work, I prefer Guns N Roses' albums and shows. I like both, but I give more credibility to the composition, than to the technique and speed itself. Technique = Tool, Speed = Tool. It is not enough to make an excellent song. But it is enough to enhance an interesting sound within the songs and compositions! Paul Gilber is great .
