Been going to Raco for last few Christmas and New Years. This year we couldn't get on they are building a Aldi supermarket on part of the site and have lost over 30 pitches so trying another site down the road. Hopefully get back on another year when the building work is finished,
Great video. I was there a couple of days ago doing some filming for my channel too. I think they’ve done a fantastic job and you’ve captured it well 👌🏻
A new platform is currently being built on the east side for southbound long distance trains, can be seen at 1:50, so they’ll no longer have to cross the northbound trains to get into the existing station. There’ll also be new lifts and new footbridge integrated with the south end of the carpark.
Went there as a teen early 80s to the flying club got to ride in a Cessna and flew it for a while 40 pounds i think but amazing how far you can fly in a short time ! .
Thank you so much! Born in Stockton, brought up in Norton. Nice to see Norton is still vibrant - what a wonderful High Street. Bought my first bottle of bubbles in Allens in Leven Road - haha! And until very recently I was not aware Norton had 2 duck ponds! I wonder if others can spot the less famous one.
Very impressive video though I live in Darlington county Durham one can see the time and investment Darlington borough council have put into the hometown mueum and site and i enjoyed the walk through of the class 37 to be honest i thought it was not open to the public the class 37 locomotive but a very impressive video
