The morgan looks a lot like an Arabian and Spanish Mustang cross to me. Or maybe an Arabian - Mustang - Mustang cross. I don't think any of those so-called gaited long morgans should be called morgan ever. I like and back the original Morgan bloodline.
One, same video has been used for these videos for decades. Two, there are full of sh*t if they say 40k horses can live there comfortably that mean 140k this is a big business like anything else. They make a living doing this period, The fed and state spend tons on this it's all about money. Trust me they are not protecting a damn thing, when does the government ever do the right thing.
Why the arab music? Didnt understand that. Would you put that on french or greek, or italian, or German documentary? Each nation has his own type of traditional music, and Portugal its not that, period. just need to cultivate yourself a little bit.
Just wanted to say for the bunch of people commenting now, this horse passed back in 2014. He was an amazing horse, but it makes me a bit sad in a nostalgic sense, seeing people give recommendations for him when it’s far too late. Obviously keep giving those recommendations! I owned, bred and raised Peruvian pasta horses for years. They are the smoothest most wonderfully gated horse in the world. The gate is all natural, even the little foals will start doing it immediately after birth. No artificial means are ever used to enhance the gait. They exhibit tremendous brio and spirit and yet are well controlled and easy to work with. I would never own another horse after having a Peruvian Paso. Please do not mistake for A Paso fino which is a completely different breed and has a completely different way of moving. I had a horse that could do 25 mi with no problem gaiting all the way. In competitions I would come in over 2 hours in front of anyone else. My gelding was a machine! Tremendous endurance and stamina. You will not have any problem with mountainous terrain if they are properly conditioned. These horses are mainly unshod unless you live in tremendously. Rocky areas or are riding on pavement. Their hooves are very strong. They are not prone to sickness. I never had any problems with knees or tendons. The big
