I was about to junk my 50amp ESC. Jim thanks so much for this video. I was programing my AR631 Receiver. I had a 64MM ducted connected and three servos. It would not run so I tried reversing Throttle. After a warning message, I said yes. The ducted fan took off full speed flying away with the battery and servos. The ducted fan crashed into wall into a thousand pieces and then the motor wrapped itself into the curtains. I unplugged the battery. I tried the ESC would no longer work. This video got the ESC running again. Moral of the story, never have a prop or ducted fan blade on the motor when testing or setting up.
Thank you Jim, very clear explanations in a neat and short video. I could have gone on testing all kinds of random stuff. You just solved my problem expeditiously, much appreciated!
hey Rich great flying the 1700mm redtail, i have mine finally , have'nt done the maiden yet, been to busy flying the 1200mm corsairs and japanese zero A6M3, both smooth , but keep up the great videos Rich!! Wilson
BADLY DONE VIDEO!!! How stupid can someone be to put video effects like that and such tacky music on a flight video designed to promote this model? Totally inappropriate and annoying, I stopped it about 11-12 seconds in and will not watch the rest, big thumbs down.
Love watching you fly! Those high speed passes you do, gear up, inches off the deck are sweet! I'm getting into RC airplanes a little later in life (50) but would love to have your skills.
Couldn't believe how easy this is. I watched a couple of other confusing videos before I found this one and those all showed several unnecessary steps that didn't really work. I watched this video and I had my plane running in like 30 seconds. Thank you very much, and Happy flying!
I fly it on 3S, with a 8,4 prop, and 50 amp esc, goes up vertical ( dont go full throttle down though) and ease on the throttle so you dont get the motor to hot, and you can fly it for years
