I was 90% done through the 008 and bought the exam voucher, but can't find the course on udemy anymore, only the 009, please bring that back, ill loose a lot of time and money spent on the 008😭
Hi! We will be sending out another code for you to enroll yourself into a cloned version of 008 next week, so please keep a close eye on your course announcements if you want to continue studying 008 material. Unfortunately, you will need to start fresh. With these updates, progress cannot be transferred. To minimize any inconvenience, we have been informing our users about this update since February. Our goal was to provide ample notice and reduce any potential disruptions. We apologize for this disruption to your studies and understand that this can be very frustrating. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to our support team support@diontraining.com
Hello Dion Training, Can this Comptia A+ Course be relevant in 2024 and is still up to date with questions that will be asked in any recent Comptia A+ exam?
Cybersecurity is not an entry level position...they should consider targeting it support or cloud roles...they should also look into creating portfolios and expanding their presence on social media by posting about projects they have worked on
So I already bought the 008 test. I had your courses for 008 but it was auto upgraded to 009. Can I use the 009 courses to study for the 008? or is there too big of a difference
Something like 30% difference so I wouldn't think it would be the best. I remember seeing they said the voucher was good for 008 or 009 so it's likely you can take the 009 test if you wanted.
Please keep an eye on your course announcements. We will be sending out a new code for you to enroll in a cloned version of the 008 course next week. If you have any other questions or concerns please reach out to our support team - support@diontraining.com
Why did you take down your 008 course on Udemy? You only have the 009 course version up now and only the practice exams for the 008 version. Even though I want to take your new course, I won't be able to since you only have practice exams for the 008 version.
We took down the 008 in order to update our course to align with new industry standards and the new CompTIA 009 exam. We will be updating the practice exams to align with the 009 version as soon as possible. If you have any other questions or concerns please reach out to our support team - support@diontraining.com
We will be releasing a new code next week, this code will allow you to enroll in a cloned version of the 008 course. Please keep an eye on your course announcements. We have been sending out a new code every Monday since February. Udemy has certain limitations on how long a coupon can be live, so we send out a fresh one every week!
I have both CySA+ and Pentest+. Let's say I take both of your new Udemy courses for those, and which are around 30 CEUs each. CySA and Pentest each need 60 CEUs, and since they renew each other, can the 30 CEUs from each course be applied to each other for the total 60 needed?
I took a Dion training course on Udemy for the first time last year and recommend it. The way everything got broken done combined with how the practice tests was laid help really helped me when preparing for my Network+. I haven't taken my Security+ yet but his previous version of the course was also laid out really well and helped me better understand some of the weak points I had while looking over everything.
Jason, I don't know if my comment will reach from here. You replaced my Security+ 601 with the 701 of which I'm thankful but the practice exams are still 601, would you kindly change that also?
Many thanks! I'm somewhat new in the field, but I hope to take both after I get more experience. I was told that both have similar bases of knowledge, but the CISM is viewed more from a management perspective. Would it be better to take the CISSP, then the CISM a couple of weeks later since the content is quite similar?
Hey there! You're right that CISSP and CISM have a lot in common, but they focus on different aspects. CISSP is great for broad, technical knowledge and covers a lot of ground in cybersecurity. CISM, on the other hand, is more about management and governance in info security. We'd suggest starting with CISSP because it gives you a solid foundation. Then, after a month or two, go for CISM. This way, you’ll have time to absorb everything and be well-prepared. Good luck with your certifications! You've got this!
There are several excellent resources to help you prepare for the ISC2 CGRC certification in July. I would recommend the official ISC2 resources below: Self-Study Tools: The ISC2 website offers official flashcards and a practice quiz, which are a great way to test your knowledge and identify areas where you need more focus. What about the people that has purchase your network+ 08 course, will we have the opportunity to upgrade to the 09. Like you did for the security 601 to 701? Thank you
Hey, will the 008 get updated to 009 or will a new course be added on Udemy for 009? I am planning to purchase the course, any comments would be appreciated :) .
All students currently enrolled in Network+ 008 course (with Dion Training) will get an automatic free upgrade to Network+ 009. If you are enrolled, you should have been receiving information on this from us in your Course Announcements Page on Udemy. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
We have this conversation regularly at my work. Resilience seems to be the word of the times. Especially since incidents are a matter of if and not when, it's important that our organizations can turn around quickly after incidents.
I am currently a practising lawyer for a decade now. I am thinking of getting a certification from IAPP and transitioning into GRC. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. I have no IT background; however, I am doing the Google cybersecurity course.
Hi bro, I just saw your latest comment do you think this course is enough to pass a CompTIA A+ 1001 and 1002 exam since it is 901 works? I'm asking myself if this will work.
Thank you for your honest feedback! We are committed to promoting diversity in the cybersecurity field and continuously strive to provide a platform for all voices. If you missed it we think you might enjoy our AMA session from March, "Leading the Charge: Trailblazing Women in Tech and Leadership," which you can find here: ru-vid.comEJBQuhlB3PA?si=ybO2FNpw9gR9X2Q9 It’s packed with insights on breaking into cybersecurity all from the perspective of these inspiring women, Sasha LeFlore, Susan Sarit, and Deidre Diamond. we think it’ll be right up your alley. Your input helps us improve, so thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Absolutely, the Security+ certification is a fantastic stepping stone into a GRC role. It provides a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices that are crucial for understanding the broader context of GRC tasks. Whether you're looking to ensure compliance with regulations or manage organizational risk, Security+ equips you with the knowledge to get started on the right foot.
When transitioning to a GRC role, the path you take can definitely depend on any certifications you already hold. If you're starting with minimal certifications in the field, beginning with the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is a great choice. CISA is highly respected and focuses on essential skills such as auditing, controlling, and assessing an organization's IT and business systems, which are crucial for GRC roles. If you're new to the field and looking for a broader foundation, the CompTIA Security+ certification could be a good first step before diving into more specialized GRC certifications. This will provide you with a solid understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and practices, setting the groundwork for more advanced GRC-focused certifications.
I just recently completed My Cyber Security Management and Policy degree. I am looking to obtain a Governance Risk and Compliance position. I am looking to obtain GRC certifications. Would be a good idea to post some of my writings that I did in college on LinkedIn to show my interest in the field?
Sharing your academic writings on LinkedIn is a fantastic idea to showcase your knowledge and enthusiasm for GRC. This not only highlights your expertise but also demonstrates your commitment to the field. Plus, engaging with comments on your posts can further establish your presence in the GRC community. It’s a proactive step towards building your professional network and enhancing your visibility in the field.
This is a trip watching after passing my A+ core 1 from Jason Dion's Udemy course. I recommend it. But boy things seem so much more simple 8 years ago.
I have 15 years experience in networking.. Cisco routers.. juniper routers .. so wan solutions on vm ware … aka one of the domains of cybersecurity … I’m looking to transition into cyber security .. I just passed my cc exam .. could my networking experience combined with the cc cert land an entry level position as I work for the next cert and or a specific application based skill set cert … what would you suggest
Absolutely! With 15 years of experience in networking and your recent CC certification, you're well-positioned to transition into cybersecurity. Your background with Cisco and Juniper routers, along with WAN solutions on VMware, provides a strong foundation. As you continue to pursue additional certifications, your extensive experience will be invaluable. Be sure to not neglect your soft skills - hard skills aren't the only thing that matters during the interview process, and stay confident. The cybersecurity field values deep networking knowledge, and your proactive approach to learning will certainly help you succeed. Stay determined, and keep pushing forward-you're on the right path!
so no CompTIA CertMaster CE Course we can take (is that only apply to a+,net+, and sec+)? like lets put a scenario where i get a 90 day notice from Comptia that my CySA+ is about to expire.
Yes. You can renew your certification by completing a CertMaster CE for CySA+. If you have any further questions, the following link should be able to help: www.comptia.org/continuing-education/choose/renew-with-a-single-activity/complete-a-comptia-certmaster-ce-course
This depends - If you are over halfway through the 601 study material then it makes sense to stick with 601. However, if you are less than 50% through the 601 material it will make more sense to study the 701 material since this is the most up to date industry standards for Security+

Thank you for bringing up the "Cybersecurity+" mention in our video. To clarify, we were actually discussing "Security+." Mix-ups like this are understandable, especially in informal or live discussions like this one. (This clip is an excerpt from a past live "Ask Me Anything" session where the viewer referred to "Security+" as "Cybersecurity+" - this is a common mix up especially for our viewers and students whose first language isn't english - No biggie!) Either way, all the information in this video is aimed towards Security+ 😊 On a related note, we're excited to inform you that our Security+ hands-on labs are now available for individual purchase on our website. This is a great opportunity for those specifically looking to enhance their hands-on cybersecurity skills without needing to invest in the full course.
