Tip #2 Is my main struggle when it comes to praying for Gilbert, especially when I'm fogged by my emotions (especially when I'm upset or angry with him) .. I also have that book but in purple. It's been sitting on my tv stand for yrs. I think it's time to pick it up and not put it back down this time 😂

Thank you for fixing my eyes back on Jesus and His Word- sometimes I do forget that Jesus did model friendship, from the many followers He had to His 12 disciples, and even His inner circle (Peter, James, John).⚡One thing that really stood out to me and something I WILL CARRY WITH ME is what you said, "Its not my job to keep everyone happy but it is my job to steward what the Lord has entrusted in me.." ⚡🔥🔥😭😭 Trying to please every friendship is something I've struggled with for yrs and I definitely carried the burden of broken friendships whether it was my fault or not. So Glad You came upon this resource. I first discovered it about 20 years ago and I got the book with the workbook. Even though Gene and I had been married for 20 years I had just retired from the Army and found myself as a stay-at-home mom though I did end up doing real estate. Not the same though as being in the military. More time to think about being a wife. Combine this with my born again experience that happened about that same time. this was the perfect resource for me. And the teachings are still so valuable. Thank you for hitting the highlights. Great words of wisdom.
I agree, it's been such a valuable resource! Thank you for sharing the story of how you found it. I found it scrolling through Facebook one day haha, and a group of women were doing a devotional study around it, and some time later I saw it at a Barnes and Noble as a new wife, and I knew it was the perfect time to dive into it.

Even though I've been living with my crush for over 40 years now, many of the things that you shared were useful to me in my current ambition - to be an influencer in my church and in my neighborhood. It's so frustrating to post something on social media and have a big flat nothing. at the same time it's so gratifying to jump in the river with the Lord and ride the rapids when he's orchestrating the endeavor. I was able to take to heart many of the comments that you made for my thing right now. And I'm going to share it with a friend who is trying to cultivate a positive attitude, about everything. This is sooooo good!!! Reminds me of my personal walk in singleness and how God has done sooo much to show me that He is enough, and at the end of the night regardless of having a husband and kids it’s still you and God! Loveeee that Hes allowed me to have such a deep and intimate relationship with Him in the wait

You guys are amazing & such a powerful example of a GODLY couple. I see guys a mothering + fathering generations to hunger for Jesus but also the purity of how God intended marriage to be and how beautiful it is to do life with Jesus.
