Now this is different. Going to make this at thanksgiving for sure! Great video. Thanks for something slightly different than other same ole recipes. ❤❤❤❤
I will be trying the pasta recipe for certain! I'm not a big dessert fan, but if an occasion rises to make a cake, this will be the one! Thank you for sharing. Your daughter is absolutely adorable and getting so big!
I've been making PA Dutch Potato Bread Stuffing since I left home. And now I'm in my 60's. My Mom made it when we were kids. She grew up eating it when she was a kid. I just use regular cubed white bread, not toasted. Cubed the bread and coat it with 2 beaten eggs. Boil my potatoes, drain, then add them to the bread cubes. My potato and cubed ratio is about 1/2 and 1/2. Then add sauteed onions and celery, sauteed in about 2 stickers of butter. Pour that on top of the bread and potatoes and mix well. L eaving small bits of potatoes. The add dried parsley, and mix. Put it in a casserole dish then bake. Now my sister makes it like you from her husband's mother side of the family. A lot of the PA Dutch restaurants make it with mashed potatoes. I kinda like the small bits of potatoes in Grandmother's recipe.
My mom makes this , but calls it cabbage and noodles and uses paprika. It’s insanely amazing. She only uses onions cabbage, paprika and then adds noodles. She doesn’t boil cabbage. She just uses butter or oil to sautéed onions and adds paprika then adds the shredded cabbage and continues to keep adding paprika. After it’s cooked she adds the cooked noodles.
These look delicious. I'll try them before summer's over. Also appreciate the grill tips - I see now that I need to get a new grill as the bottom vent in ours has rusted shut.
Haven’t tried the caramel idea but love it. I don’t think everyone keeps cooking their butter to toast the fats. Also adding a little salt is a nice touch that isn’t in the classic cereal box recipe.
