I heard negative things about hi point for years , hardly ever seen one in the pawn shop. So one day they had a C9 with 3 magazines, i thought what the hell , i payed 100 $ out the door, tax included. Ugly and heavy, but it works , this waz August 2023 . Since, i bought a new 380acp handgun hi point and found a hi point 45acp carbine with scope and bi pod for 250 tax included. I'm going after a handgun and carbine in each caliber. Of those 3 i bought , total of 485 $ . I.m still getting other makers , ruger has a fine 9 mm carbine , around 650 to 850 . So you can see the difference between prices
I've owned a Kel Tek P3AT for the last 20 years. Has been in my pocket everywhere I have been. Great gun and reliable. The take down pin was getting loose and had a couple of jams last time I shot it. It was getting a little rusty and worn from being in my pocket 24/7. Since they don't make them anymore I decided on the LCP. Academy Sports has them for $199 right now. Just bought one and it is easier to rack and the trigger pull is better than the Kel Tek. Accuracy isn't the best with these guns but anything up to about 25 or 30 ft isn't a problem at all. I won't be shooting anything any farther than that anyway. The .380 is fine for personal defense in my opinion. Most people who just got shot with that round isn't going to give you any more trouble for a while. I love my Kimber .45 but it's way to big for everyday carry. I have a Springfield Sub Compact and it's a little too big to be comfortable carrying everywhere. The LCP is perfect for this application. Easy to rack. The longer trigger pull doesn't bother me either. Nice video! Thanks!
Libertys - I Just put my Springfield in that zipper pocket and zip against the gun. I am going to stop the zipper at some point so the gun stays upright. It doesn't move much during hiking or riding so I haven't gotten to that point yet
Have your gunsmith check the bolt gap on your MAC 5. I am a FFL and gunsmith and just purchased one of these to evaluate and found that the one I have has no bolt gap at all. HK specs are .25mm to .45mm which is .010 to .018 inches, With no bolt gap at all means that the rollers are not engaging in the recesses of the trunnion fully and therefore what you will have is almost a direct blow back firearm. This will cause undo wear on the firearm and shorten it's life. This is not good. I urge all of you that have purchased one of these MAC 5s to check the bolt gap on your firearm.
Bought mine Jan,24.Have fired it approx.400 times, absolutely no failures.Ejector failed, called Him Point, sent me upgraded ejector and spring, plus recoil spring and guide, firing pin and spring.Totally satisfied with pistol and customer service.Rhis pistol is badass.
Tell me you don’t know what you’re talking about, without telling me you don’t know what you’re talking about. Oh wait, you made this video. So you already told me. Literally everything you mentioned is standard on other imports as well as domestically produced MP5 clones. Except the price and material used in the magazines.
Semi autos in the instructions recommended 1300 fps of faster. This gun takes 200 rounds to break in. Now, my M2 clone runs anything. Light or heavy or limp wrist. My M2 is a Girsan very well made.
This looks nice! I was in the internet looking around for AR15 that’s CA Compliant and I stumbled upon this. I saw the green and gold color and if I’d get a DB15, it’d be that green and gold color or that one with the 5.56 and 300 blackout one. Initially, I’d want a modular rifle that can chamber both 5.56 AND .308 in CA but so far it’s only the MDRX I can see in that category.
Has anyone found a peep sight that fits this? I got one a month ago love it so far about 200 rounds in no issues including my cast bullets, but haven’t found a peep that says it’ll work with it.
I will buy a cheap one and open it up debur it and torque it down to spec and have a benelli for 1/5 the price. Why would these new clones be any different if they are made with same material same machines same design just different people assembling and quality control check? Military has like 13 distributers or makers of the m4 they use. I’ll take this for the 359 dollar price or the 599 panzer speed with ported barrel and extras on it ambi bolt operations the extra shell holder barrel to tube holder. Panzer also has a much better track record.
I remember I was 10 ish my moms boyfriend who we lived with now this was the late 00s so roughly 2007 ish? He had the black one the blue one and the red one I always loved the red one he was a avid hunter so I now understand why he had 3 of them 😂 Now last night I had a dream about that time and instantly looked up red aluminum mag lite and this video popped up im gunna get me the older model
...in other words, the piston spring is too firm. It will likely begin accepting low brass once it's broken in. However, that's a non-starter for me. I own several Turkish shotguns and they all cycle everything without needing to adjust any pistons or springs from the get-go.
