I don't really feel that bta, beta style continued really needs to add more 'stuff to do' Because the appeal of minecraft to me, is that you decide what to do with your world, rather than what the game gives you, it sandbox after all XD! If you having world for years, the stuff the game gives you won't matter to much in the long run, because it'll eventually run out, and you gotta be creative with how you expand your crafted world:D Yea, having an end in modern minecraft truely removes this appeal, as minecraft becomes a BEATABLE GAME, so when you beat the end, you just kinda be like........... I dunno what to do now, BYE! Rather than being an endless timeless world you craft, but that just me lol.
The concept has potential and I’m very excited to see what comes of this! I do have to agree with a few people that the art style… doesn’t look very finished or cohesive and it seems like the dev is not very keen on changing it much anymore. I recognize that this is relatively early in development still and anything can happen so we’ll see. I do love everything else I’m seeing here and when it does release I will definitely check it out!
I feel this video so much and I'll be checking out this mod in a bit. I love Beta 1.7.3, to me it was the best experience of Minecraft. Building was the center of everything, exploration was the optional, awesome thing one could do, but it was never necessary. Btw, if you love the early game feeling of Minecraft in general I can highly recommend Vintage Story. But it's different. Very different. It's basically a survival focused, slow and complicated game. Everything takes time, but it feels very rewarding. I hope the BTA mod will fill my need for a casual building game with survival elements while Vintage Story keeps being my go to pick for more difficult survival.
The old boat mechanics were amazing too, its what we made the first rollercoasters and elevators with with before minecarts. Idk if this was 1.7.3 but def was def the most fun I had building transportation or heck even riding something in minecraft
I don't know if saying this is rude, but like, I absolutely adore ur voice, it's so nice and calming, and it rlly helped me focus on this video! And thank u for the help on this! I've been wanting to do animations with audio for so long, and you've helped me out! Thanks!! :3
thank you for building that gir in the thumbnail i wouldnt have clicked on this video otherwise but im glad i did this video rocks i love the little flipnote sections
The argument shouldn't really be "older minecraft is better than modern" rather "is modded minecraft better than current vanilla?" BTA is a perfect example for this but it still doesn't have most things that make base minecraft better. Bta adds simple features and even fireflies aswell as a better dungeon for exploration and faster transportation..also you forgot to mention it DEFINITELY runs better for low end PCs so instead of installing fps mods this is simply a better option for potatos. (Or just play bedrock) Base modern has features that are EXTREMELY helpful than what bta has. Enhanchment that even give us a better advantage for mining so no long ahh strip mining in late game. Easier to craft materials aswell. All yaneed is 3 blocks of wool and 3 blocks of wood to craft a bed which is really good. Bta adds a different feature where instead of 3 blocks you need one and a new crafting material called cloth which can be dropped by fighting zombies. Bta encourages you to explore and fight zombies to get this. But the problem is having to fight multiple entities at once 😂 which is even more tedious on higher difficulty but its not really hard to grab. Imo crafting materials in base game is alot more simpler than what bta is going for enhancement are extremely helpful in base game aswell. In my conclusion Both is really good but modern Minecraft has a lot of things that are easy to understand. Sure it has problems. But i can't gatekeep it for much longer..minecraft is fun no matter which one u wanna go for..modern or bta its entirely up to you. I recommend trying this mod out for yourselves. Fyi strays and illagers were cool AF idc!
I think it was the apotheosis mod. I used it in one of my modpacks, and it was actually cool. Every armour piece had it's own kittle perk like extra health or speed, and golden tools had Fortune II on them. I'm not sure if this is from the mod, but there also was an enchant that made it so that each kill's drops would be converted to raw XP. A little OP, especially in one of the modded dungeons. But it reduces the eternal grind for shit.
This mod and the Better Beta seem like the best ways to enjoy a more "normal" minecraft experience without it being a massive modpack. Better Minecraft is fun, but it leans more into the Skyrim / Terraria feel than mc. Better Than Beta is great for those who want an improved retro experience. Better Beta is for those who want the beta experience in modern mc.
Im not sold until more info on character behavior comes out, that's the single most important aspect of this kind of game to me. This shows a ton of promise, especially with the robust character creation tools, but there's still that core mechanism
Hi, very helpful video. I am pretty new to this all so sorry if this question is dumb. What if I want to animate in 12 fps (less frames :P) but adobe only goes down to 24frames. Should I just draw 12 frames/s and double how long they stay on orrrrr?
hmmm..... i'm not totally sure! your solution sounds like it would work tho. you could also try the new software that I linked in the pinned comment-- though it is a bit finicky at times
This is incredibly well put together video, you did a great job of researching and editing everything together, I'm sure this video could get really popular; I think this game definitely was just not thought through well enough, they wanted to feed off of the mobile game meets real life concept, and went all in on presenting the idea of collaborative block builds without stopping to question how feasible it would be to actually implement and as soon as it became a problem, Microsoft just put it away as a failed attempt. If they brought this back (probably won't) with public builds it could easily be a successful project, and they could just have normal moderation, with people reporting stuff or something similar.
The moderation would either have to be super advanced or they would have to disable redstone for public build plates and even then they'd still need to disable redstone until they got the super advanced moderation atleast of the first bit
