Waddell never gave Part the respect he deserved IMO as he kept saying Taylor was playing under par. Taylor missed because it was the first time in a decade he felt real pressure! Love this final! Go Part!
Well done to John Part to hold his nerve after Taylor's comeback, also a few months later another Canadian, Mike Weir would go to to win the US Masters so it was a brilliant couple of months for that country.

I must say that Phil Taylor is a man with a lot of class,he is such a great player,and he and John are such good ambassadors for this sport,it's guys like this that make the game of dart fun,they have great respect for each others game,it is a real treat to see a match like this,and they give each other the respect they deserve,my 2 favourite players,such clas.
What is it gonna take for the world to give Part the recognition he rightfully deserves, he is an amazing player,he has won the world's 3 times,and many other prestigious events,and even when he does amazing things like high finishes and whitewashing of players like Bobby George and the like, the fans dont give him the applause he deserves,,they just dont want to admit that he is if not the most dominant player in darts today, even Taylor,said so, anyhow congrats John.
Legendary final. Brilliant to watch. Has anyone got any clips of another legendary final. It was between Phil Taylor and Mike Gregory, back when Phil was in the BDO? It was level in sets, 2 legs all in the final set. Closest 2 bull 2 throw first and both players had chances 2 win the title. 1993 i think. Pity its not on you tube.
