Dude, what is it with the headliners in these things? I've seen 5 or 6 in the last week that all look like a small animal just started hacking at them.
Great vid, as I have many of your tools you have to clean up my 96 Camry for my teenage daughter. Great Daddy Daughter project that takes more elbow grease than money. Alas priority #1 is Make Sure it's Mechanically Sound first.
I got the passenger seat out no problem. The problem is the driver seat doesn’t move very far forward making it very difficult to get the two rear seat bolts loose/removed in that much tighter space. Sid you have similar difficulty, and what did you do/use?
I can relate! Picked up a 97 1.8L Eunos import here in Ireland at the end of 2023 pretty cheap (€3.8k, which is cheap given the condition). The car was in a decent state as far as the outside body and interior, with only a few minor changes and upgrades. The underside however was ABSOLUTELY rusted beyond belief EVERYWHERE and pieces were pretty much falling apart (all 4 wheel suspension, AC rad and lots more) sills rotting away, etc. But at least the softtop and exhaust had been replaced within the last 2 years so they were perfect. Fast forward 7 months and it's been fully restored and near perfect, just waiting on minor fixes to be completed, like alloy wheel restoration, leather seat restoration, stereo and speaker replacement and that's pretty much everything. Just in time for the 2 weeks of summer we get in Ireland!
@@Constable.Chauvin There was a LOT more than just the rust repair, but between all the new parts, rust welding, etc to get it up to road legal again cost another €6600.
I know this video is old, but I'll comment anyway. I just replaced my headliner yesterday, and I had gotten one from a ranger that didn't have suicide doors, and mine does, so I just cut it a bit, and shaped it to fit. The trim covers the rough edges, and no one would be able to tell the difference if they didn't know. Just a thought for next time you pull the wrong liner! 😉
That is one beautiful Z, you did an excellent job on it. I’ve had 2 Z roadsters and loved them both. Such underrated cars, reliable and so much fun to drive. Great content!
I've had 4 of these accords now and thought once the clear started peeling the paint was done. Heck no! Wish I wouldn't have painted half of them. You did something smarter and braver then I coulda done, great tutorial!
I used cerakote plastic restorer on some of my plastics. It really does bring back the color for a while but with a high gloss. I used it on some exterior plastics and very selectively on the interior. It’s great stuff but it’s not for every plastic because of the gloss.
I've got one in gray and I love mine! Would highly recommend Flyin Miata's little enchilada upgrade kit, you make a lot more power and it sounds great!
