The story of John Henry He was convicted in 1866 (wasn’t a slave) he was sentenced 10 years in Ohio state penitentiary and railway work he was insanely strong and said he didn’t need a drill one day he was holding 2 10 pound hammers making a hole of 14 feet which the drill can only do 9 feet however with extreme speed came extreme heart rate he died of a heart attack his strength became a legend his insane strength was said to be a myth but no the story is true Moral: your determination is stronger than your creations

I remember singing this song in my music club last year. Such a depressing song but such a good song
