Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I’m a 3rd year nursing student. I’ll be making videos mainly revolving nursing school and my college life! Thank you so much for watching and I hope you enjoy!🤍
During nursing school I used to be obsessed with getting an A in every class and I realized that it was not worth the sanity of crying over a 80. At the end of the day, as long as you pass it doesn’t matter , you will still be a great nurse in the end. Make sure to have some fun in between and do what makes you happy 😊
thank you so much! and there’s no one right way to deal with stress, everyone has something that works for them and it takes a lot of trial and error! when i’m not letting the stress get the best of me i like to go to work out classes during the week and spend time with my friends/loved ones because it’s important to take care of business while also prioritizing your well-being… you cannot be physically well and do your best in school without being mentally well❤ always take care of yourself!
I'm sitting in class and watching this. I just got so excited when I came on and saw you had posted again, I check every day! Ur truly my comfort RU-vidr. You are doing incredible!!
you american nursing girlies have my heart and soul at this rate bruh, i read 306 questions for simply gas exchange and choked on my grapes- god bless you and prayers for a great clinical and smooth exam szn! i'll wait and watch until you join us RN girlies :D u got this
haha thank you so much!! nursing school is soooo hard but it’s gonna be worth it! and the 306 questions were deadly🥲 thank you so much for your prayers❤
Just remember that in psych the correct answer on a test is always to direct a question back to the patient” why do you feel like an animal” “ how does that make you feel?”. The incorrect answer will always be one where you give the patient your opinion. Once I figured this out the tests were much easier!
this helps so much! i have noticed that the question approach is most therapeutic so they have the opportunity to say how they feel. thank you so much for your help!!
Restate or paraphrase what they say as a question. “You think ____?”, “You feel _____?” Never give option like you said, never say you know how they feel or went through something similar. And “Tell me more” is always the right answer unless it’s an obvious troll answer. There was exactly one time when that wasn’t a right answer because of why they added to it lol.
Hey ! I just watched your video when you were feeling anxious over your pharmacology class. You’re killing it! I’m so proud of you! I am studying health and human services now but also nursing is in my books. Whatever it takes. :)))
@@MarcosRico-f2x thank you so so much! i’ve definitely come a long way with my mental health and im feeling it every day. and whatever it takes, that’s right! good luck to you:)
I always get so excited when I see you have posted another video! I'm currently in pre nursing and I start nursing school in February 2025 so you have given me a heap of motivation to study with you. Keep doing amazing! xx
How do you balance work and school? How many hours do you work a week or do you lower them when your semester starts? I just got a new job and am struggling juggling the two :(
@@nathalie9320 hi nathalie! it’s definitely a major adjustment and I didn’t handle it well at first and was stressing myself out. If you work on the weekends like I do, try and schedule all of your school work/assignments during the week so you have less to do on the weekends. it’s definitely hard at first, but you will eventually adjust to it and find what works for you. you got this!💕
Hey Emma Grace! I love your content about the nursing school life! I'm launching a new research study with my company and wondered if you'd let us interview and pay you to tell us about your nursing school experience! Let me know! Thanks!
Good luck this semester! I graduated with my BSN, this past May, and start my nursing job this upcoming Monday, August 19th! Take everything one day at a time and make sure to squeeze in time for yourself! You got this! Graduation will be here before you know it!
thank you so much! congrats on being a new grad and best of luck with your first nurse job! and i definitely will take things one day at time, that’s what Ive been going by and it helps me feel less stressed❤
I missed you !! I have been watching all of your videos lately because I am about to go into my first year of nursing and you have been my favourite RU-vidr to watch! 🥰
I am new to your channel but i wanted to let you know that you have given me new hope on becoming a nursing i watch your videos like every day and it is refreshing. Thank you very much for your videos
hi!! I’ve wanted to find a job in healthcare before I graduate, since I’m already in nursing school I’m not sure I’d have time to do training for CNA. I’ve been looking into nursing externships to do for nursing students so I can get more clinical experience outside of my regular clinicals, I applied for one already and got denied because they were prioritizing senior students (I’m a rising junior). I’m going to keep searching though!❤
I am planing on going back to school for RN and I am so nervous about it. Current CNA here and it seems to be something that I have always wanted to do but now that I have worked in the field I want to go further in the field and this has helped me to go for my goals in life so thank you for this video
Omg I was literally thinking where u have been!! But yay a break is nice!! I started my nursing program recently and definitely now feel even more excited to watch ur future nursing vids ❤
@@destinyc.744 heyyy!! i’ve been so busy with my summer classes and working and haven’t had time to make more videos but i miss it🥰 and im excited to make more nursing vids when my semester starts!! and i hope your nursing program is going well, you got this!
Could you do a video on the pros and cons of nursing school? I’m starting in the fall and I keep hearing negative things and I need to know some positives of nursing school 😂
@@ginaperillo2420 there are definitely more pros than cons for nursing school, but i’d love to make a video like this! if you have any suggestions for specific topics you’d like for me to cover let me know
@@becomingalexus2503 chemistry was really tough for me, your professor makes a huge difference!! but regardless of if you have a good or bad professor.. go to class and at least try to learn something. then after class, look through your lecture again and use the textbook to your advantage! do practice equations because chemistry has a lot of math. make concept maps and everything starts to connect. i had to teach myself everything because i didn’t learn from my prof, but i went to class every single time and put in the effort outside of class and ended with a B! you can do this! it’s not easy but it can be done😇
I just finished my first semester of nursing school today and am now a junior!! I also got an A in health assessment and it feels so good to be done with this semester!! Good luck next semester!!💕💕
I haven't noticed you eating much dairy, but if you do, cottage cheese is PACKED with protein! I like to keep it savoury but I know lots of people who almost sub it for yogurt and add fruit :)
i don’t typically eat a lot of dairy since it makes my stomach upset sometimes, but i do love protein greek yogurt!! i’ve been wanting to try cottage cheese though, ive heard it’s so good!!
