No offense man, but is this your first car stereo install? Because DMP has been nothing but Nice and super responsive to me in every case, I'm about to order the 12.3" Android Screen for my 2014 c300 Benz Sport W204 NTG 4.5 , and Add a backup camera. I've watched about 15 different install videos and so far you are the only one who has had an issue with yours, I do know if you have the Harman Kardon Sound Package which is part of your original Harness, and you bend those wires and they get even slightly damaged it will cause a lot of issues , and very poor sound, you will have to replace the whole harness that goes through the car and that's a pain , and your looking at BIG BUCKS. But let me know what that little device is you ordered, just in case I may need one, I live in Ohio, but I used to do Car Audio installs on the side, so I'm fairly familiar with wirering up stuff. But why would you delete comments on your other video when people could have offered you help? That looks fishy to me though.... u know?
Other than replacing the unit dmp can't do much to help u, remember they just a resellers, they never manufactured or designed this screen, they just get em from Chinese suppliers, repackage it then sell it for marked up price, so i just saved the money and got my screen straight from Ali express, i suggest u take ur car to local shop who install this type of screens to take a look at ur car wiring, there is a shop called 4x4 somthing forgot the exact name 😅, have RU-vid channel with multiple installations videos for benz screens i forgot if they located in USA or Canada, try to contact em and see how much they will charge u for checking it out.
Sorry to hear about your experience. I bought one from them that had a minor defect, but they replaced it after I paid the deposit and returned the defective one. I was nervous about the deposit but they credited my deposit right back after I received the replacement. I also had a bad wiring install (i paid a shop to do) they helped me with and they provided me with firmware updates on two occasions that requested it. Since my replacement, my screen has worked flawlessly and I couldn't be happier with their product or support. I really haven't see any bad reviews online for DMP so I don't think your hardware or support issue is common. You said they replaced the harness and the screen and it still doesn't work. From a tech support standpoint, when parts are replaced and the install is done correctly, and the exact same issue occurs, it's usually something outside of the product that they can't fix, which could explain why they may have stopped providing you support on this issue (assuming you met all of the warranty requirements). Hope you get this resolved.
The screen shouldn't even be on with ignition off you have a problem with wiring harness why don't you message Daniel at DMP I have just finished fitting nine and everything is working fine
im just looking around myself to find myself one to buy. 4X4Shop Canada, they might be able to help. Although they have the new tablet currently, maybe they used to have the older one? so maybe they can help you with your issue? good luck .
