I wonder if students can also pursue the accelerated masters of science in mechanical engineering at UMBC's main campus as well through this program. With students being able to complete their first two years of the mechanical engineering undergrad program during high school with an associates at schools like Montgomery College and Montgomery County Public Schools early college programs, does that mean they could be completed with their masters degree only three years out of high school? With about two more years to get a PhD, does that mean that students through this program could be completed with their doctorates within only 5 years after high school? That would be great for the local school to STEM pipelines.
