Hi I’m Bry 🥰 I’m a freelance makeup artist in film and tv who also talks about natural hair, skincare, crochet, modeling and all things industry related!
Great vid! Wanted to mention that you probably should be using 70% alcohol not 90% because it has more water and helps it to dissolve more slowly and be more efficient in killing bacteria.
Thank you for posting this recipe. It's one of my wife's favorite meals, and with Red Lobsters closing down like crazy... well ya know. Also would it be possible to get a ingredients list?
Thank you so much!!❤️ and yeah I’m so sad hearing about some red lobsters closing 😭 & the ingredients are shrimp, scallops, lobster tails and mussels for the seafood, fettuccine or linguine noodles, for seasoning the shrimp and scallops I used butter, white wine, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper, chili powder and cayenne, garlic powder, old bay and parsley flakes. Once it was all together I put parsley, more white wine and butter!
Great job on this. I'm just watching the whole thing from the sidelines but it's wild as hell. I'm shocked that this is the only response from the company. Crazy stuff.
Am a beginner freelancer MUA myself and inglot is my favorite pro brand. I have their blushes, lip pencils, powder foundations, loose translucent Matt powder for oil control and I’m still exploring inglot. I consider them the European Mac and would love to transition half or all my kit from them!
As a task associate did you get Ulta employee benefits? Kinda would like to be sure I get the discount and sample perks. This job reminds me of my old Amazon warehouse but better because it's at a store and with a small team. I have my interview on Wednesday. Did they mind you recording?
Technically I worked mainly in the front but I liked working in the back bc I didn’t have to talk to customers 😭And I’m pretty sure every employee got all the same benefits! Also I didn’t ask permission to record myself and I didn’t even tell them I had a RU-vid channel 💀💀 so who knows what they would’ve said if I actually asked lmaooo
I feel like they just thought they were gonna get praised for having the most inclusive shade range or some shit lmao but just neglected to do much of any research on which shades r needed
There is the REM "rich 10" concealer, which is marketed like "blue black", but it essentially looks pitch black - and they market it as a product meant for mixing and contouring. If Youthforia would've done the same, I don't think this would have turned into a huge scandal - maybe just a discussion if certain shades make any sense - however, Youthforia put it out as *foundation.* So, something that should be applied all over the face & match the skin tone - not just a contour on the sides of the face or smth. They also didn't promote it as a mixing product..
I couldn't believe my eyes and tbh I still can't... Why she doesn't release just some straight titanium white pigment next, say it's for us pale girlies
It really seems like they just designed the product first (“we’re going to have the darkest shade on the market”) and just assumed they’d find someone out there with plain black skin 💀 Like, surely you design products based on actual need right? Not based on a marketing slogan they wanted to have. Loved your video
This whole situation feels like one very bad joke. Like there really wasn't ONE person in the whole production line who said this is a "THIS IS VERY BAD IDEA"? For some context I'm white and I grew up in a 90% white city so I wasn't exposed to a huge range of dark skintones growing up, but I remeber that as a child I was confused to why we call light skin people "white" and dark skin people "black" when literally nobody has skin exatly in those colors!!! Now that I'm an adult I know it's because of colonialism and exe.. but when you just look at people you can tell that even the people with the darkest skin are a shade of dark brown, and even people with albinism are not paper white. Like I'm honesty so WTFed by this hole thing. I'm pretty sure most toddlers would be able to get it right...
That's crazy! They definitely did not have any Black people working on the development of the foundation. Even common sense will tell you that no one is the shade black! All this because they couldn't bother to actually formulate a good shade range to accommodate all of the varying undertones that dark skinned people have. Shame.
Girl mine was weird lowkey 😭😭 it was a group interview with like 8 of us, they only asked us two questions and then we left lmaooo and they’re gonna take two weeks to tell us if we got a second interview like wtf
@@bryyyyy I interviewed at the one attached to kohls. I was like we not gonna talk about makeup or skincare?? I was like this is weird and unexpected lol. I left feeling confused.
I love how this popped up the day I’m setting up art commissions. But this is so real. I support my people but it’s imbalanced in the reciprocation hence why I’ve held back. New subbie for this topic ❤️
This conversation is so interesting to me because I’ve always wonder why the closest people around the creator doesn’t want to support their friend or family member? It’s so simple and beautiful to do so why not do it?! I’ve been a creator for a long while now and I’m happy they have people that are friends and family that support me. Not everyone of course but some and it’s the best feeling ever but they are some that I give a slight side eye because I’m like what’s the problem? I’m your gurl right?! so support me! Show me some love! Especially since you’re already on social media! Idk it’s just weird 😅
Especially if you live in the Midwest. Also creativity that doesn’t immediately produce enough money to support yourself is hard for minority families cus they’ll say you’re wasting your time.
@@bryyyyy I finally saved up enough to get my own place. I got the lights an the camera so I can start my RU-vid channel this summer. Hopefully I can Prove my family wrong lol wish me luck
I'm about to start my onboarding in literally two days and I've been all up and through youtube looking at Ulta experience videos!!! I'm a prestige beauty advisor as well but I'm not sure for which category (I think I may be fragrance though). I'm glad though that folks are putting their experiences out there so I'm not starting work at Ulta completely blindsided! It's only 2 black girls at my Ulta (including me in that count) and NO other minorities period working there so I feel you with the "diversity" part!
you are absolutely beautiful stunning and i see so many crochet sweaters and socks on pinterest I WISH I COULD MAKE THEM. most of my free time goes to the gym but you might be motivating me a little to start learning 😍 is that art from adventure time?? would you like to be friends on pinterest?
Thank you so much!!❤️🫶🏾 I don’t think it’s from adventure time but it might be similar to something and I didn’t realize it🤣 and my Pinterest is @Jacobsbryanna if you wanna follow it!! :)
Thank you so much!!🥰❤️ I can definitely make a video with some makeup tips for you :) but some quick tips that I can think of are to use a light/medium coverage foundation, use setting spray after the base is done and then one more time after the full face is done and I use a brush AND sponge to blend my base :)
