When this show was good, it was really, really, REALLY GOOD. Season 1 was a masterpiece and some of the best television to ever be made. It's a shame PWB didn't want to continue it. She could have finished the show with an untouchable legacy and cemented the show as one of the greatest shows to ever be made. What could have been....
Mmmm...no. Villanelle is an exceedingly lethal psychopath. Not adorable. She fakes qualities that could come across as such. But knowing that she has ZERO compassion or mercy negates all endearing "qualities," which are, of course, completely artificial. Yes, the actress is adorable, but not Villanelle.
there was a clip of this that was used as a promo for the show...the moment i saw it, i said i don't care what the show's about or anything other than 'I'm totally in!!!'😂😈
This is why I love Sandra Oh! Her dynamic dramatic and comedic acting came together beautifully in this scene, had me dying of laughter from beginning to end 😂😂😂 Seriously, why is there no Killing Eve blooper reel??? It’s a travesty 😭💔
Now i undestand the quote from Villanelle : "I want to smell like a Roman Centurion" = reference for what happened between them in Rome, "who is coming across an old foe" = obviously Eve, "who in battle once hurt him greatly" = she is talking about how Eve hurted her by rejecting her, "but since then the Roman Centurion has become emperor, and is now powerful beyond measure" = talking about how she's changing her career for better and she has even more power and control over Eve than ever, but of course the kiss and also the headbutt showed that Villanelle doesn't have so much control and power over Eve as she expected to have, and again the biggest reason why V is in love/obsessed with Eve , Eve surprises her more than any other person
This is for me the ending of KE, i mean the end of the GOOD KE, this is my favorite scene of the whole show and sums up everything about KE, sadly after this amazing episode and scene KE never been able to be this good again
The ending to this had the same bitter feeling as the end of Penny Dreadful. You have these magnetic, complex, demonic yet irresistible female characters that have so much development, redemption, and a taste of goodness just to be snatched away in a rushed and disappointing ending.
I ACCEPT THIS AS THE TRUE ENDING FOR THE SERIES. They finally express their feelings for each other after all the cat and mouse games on each other, and all the pain they have caused each other as well. They finally come together and truly give into each other...and they have a camper van ready for the roads ahead, and their life together away from everyone they knew to start fresh somewhere. THAT IS THE TRUE ENDING TO THIS SERIES :) Side note: On the day of the series finale, I got spoiled by this scene on Twitter and screamed for joy! My mind instantly went to this is how the series ended.
2024 - I keep coming back here everytime I missed them, this is the only scene we got from them being openly expressive about their feelings for each other, and then remembering the ending that they got. God, it's really disappointing how show runners ruined this masterpiece. Eve & Villanelle and we, the fans, we all deserves better!!! And still, I would like to thank Sandra & Jodie for pushing this scene and to execute this moment perfectly and really beautiful. ❤❤
This is entirely about villanelle putting her arm around eve, all casual like it's a few couples getting together for drinks😂💗 Loved Constantin screaming for V to help him --bc u know shes thinking "remember that prison you left me in?" or "you never called me your little sausage"😂 Def holds a grudge. I like how then she subtly takes her arm off Eve and sits forward..not to save Constantin, but to protect Eve in case Carolyn starts pointing the gun their way. Jodie is massively talented at bringing all these tiny nuances to a scene to make it so extra 💗
