Doubt anyone reads this but I wish Santi didn’t cut Yano off when he was trying to give his view on the Vitalik Blog. It’s good to get BOTH points of view. Yano you’re too nice and your opinions are equally valid. Feel like this has been happening more often. Been watching since the bear when book recommendations were a regular thing. ex post stories about current recency biased price narrative guess that is popular and interesting but add 20 years to your current of hearing this, it really isnt : ) 99.9% of financial media is just near meaningless ex post made up stories. Only 8 minutes in.
Vitalik has the luxury of not being a single issue voter as it relates to his pocketbook. Let's be honest, when you've made it financially and you're content with your net worth, it's easier to say what he said. Not saying for sure that's how he thinks, but it's something to consider
You´re doing amazing content, don´t plan your Pod guests overtinking about people saying "You´re shilling your bags" or stuff like that. Just do the type of content you are exited about and it´d be great. Imo nice to listen to those strartups in early stages. Thnx!
Santiago, why has Geodnet been snubbed in the DePIN category? They have arguably been the most successful DePIN project given they are now the largest RTK correction network in the world. That's like saying Helium became the largest phone provider. What gives?
Can someone do something about the SEI chart? I dont understand how they get shilled as a sponsor on every big channel but the chart is just being slammed down constantly.
Yeah I can't take this seriously. Paypal keeps saying its all in on crypto, but I can't in the moment send it to users without them doing KYC on venmo just to receive tokens. I feel like if PayPal was serious about crypto rails, they would make PyUSD completely interoperable on all platforms, and at the very least not require filling out KYC just to receive it. It completely breaks the payment loop to have to wait for drivers license upload and doesn't make sense.
Does Paypal know they are using beta settlement software in production? How much has solana foundation paid for paypal to leave that fact out of the paperwork?
Santi just said he went to a bitcoin conference, and hung out with all his friends in the hotel and didn't go to any of the conference meetings. Yano has asked Santi like 5 times in the first 5 minutes to give him a summary or some content from the conference, and Santi just says "it was rainy" This is what I expected from Santi

It's a bit embarrassing to say but Santi is correct about Crypto being also helpful for loneliness and not just a monetary incentive. I love the helpful communities and it's easier to take a loss when everyone feels it as I also love to see people win even if I don't hold something they have. Hopefully I survive this bull run and get to attend some conferences around CA in the future to meet some good peeps. As always, thanks guys.

I think the more pertinent question should be: What makes crypto valuable? We know self sovereignty has been abandoned in favor of ETFs and "trusted institutions" holding your keys, so what's left? Totalitarian surveillance tools for the financialization of every conceivable aspect of our lives? A backstop buyer of last resort for the bonds of a failing nation in the form of stablecoins? An infinite supply of braindead meme coins? I've been hoping for about 10 years that this space would produce something novel and beneficial to humankind but apparently it's just the worst parts of what we already have on steroids.
These ads are getting out of hand. Did you consider model of subscription model for all blockwork pods without ads? Either for BW research subs, or other subscription.
I came in here thinking I was not going to agree with a former US President but I actually agree, crypto people are too short minded. You tell them you can make a nice return and they're like I need that but in like the next 30 min. I think we're just maturing over here. Of course the returns are going to go down if we're growing as a whole. Nothing beats defi though, that is still criminally underrated.

I think his logic on the merits isn’t faulty. His mistake (which I believe is total and irredeemable) is the belief that Trump will somehow preserve the rights that’s Biden supposedly hasn’t. That man intends to use all the powers of the state to enforce his private will, in complete contravention of everything libertarians supposedly care about. How you can look at trump’s record and overlook that is beyond me. And the minute crypto isn’t useful to him, he’ll dump it too.
