The very concept of a guitar shop in Nashville is hardly unique. When you visit the legendary Music City, there's a lot of history and heritage to live up to. With some of the worlds finest songwriters, session players, and famous recording studios, it beckons visions of Guitar Mecca for players from around the world.
Living up to expectations, Artisan Guitars represents Maton Guitars, founded in 1946. We are the largest authorized dealer in North America. Our specialty is serving guitarists across the country who need exceptional sound reproduction in the studio and for live performance.
Maton's proprietary electronics create an authentic acoustic guitar sound, championed by Keith Urban, Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Johnson, & Colin Hay to mention a few. Melbourne Australia is home to Maton Guitars.
Richard is World Class...As a guitar player,I can tell ya that the Entertainer by Joplin is something most pickers wouldn't even attempt.......including me.....Ha!
That traditional is insanely good. Thanks for this video, it explained some of the differences of the traditional versus regular models. I found a used traditional one in a store. Used it's almost the same price as a brand new regular one but it's so extremely good. I'm getting rid of all guitars but 1 to get it.
Honestly love the sound of this miced up. Yeah it may not have as much low end as the SRS60c, but in my opinion that's a good thing, especially for studio use
Turn your amp off? What? Nah man, just hit the tuner pedal bro, shazam, signal muted. Just kidding you man, for real though, thank you for making this video, I was looking for this specific thing and couldn't believe that there wasn't more videos that showed off the pickup system on the Maton's. Almost every other video mentioned how great the pickups sounded plug in but then proceeded to mic it up and play a demo of the guitar like we were in the studio with it, which is cool and all, but ain't what I was wanting to hear. So thank you guys for making this video just like you made it. Appreciated. And on a side note, when I am in my sound guy role, Steely Dan's Aja album is one of my go to albums to set the mains with. It's tried and true for a reason, and that reason is that all of us sound guys got together and agreed that their sound is just about as close to perfect as anyone could get. It's that good. Plus it is one of the non offensive bands you can play where a lot of people will love it and almost no one will hate it. Same thing for in between music, if I put on Van Morrison, It's like a mood shifter, everyone just gets happier. It's crazy to see these sorts of things, because sometimes I think we convince ourselves that our experiences are so different from everyone else's, but they really aren't that different sometimes.
Did I hear this right? You can only use 1 of the 6 effects at a time and you have to send the single effect to both channels, or pan it? Seems pretty limiting. Can't have one effect on the guitar and different one on the other channel. If you have external effects via the effects loop, are they applied equally to both channels?
I had a 64 15" Vibroverb that I lent to a friend and later he said it was stolen from his house.....he in turn gave me a gibson Les Paul and a small Fender Amp...still think I got screwed
I have a Collings 01 Mh, all hog. These guitars were built originally for a reason:: reduction of long-term hand and body fatigue for the everyday player. The most fatguing guitar to play is a dreadnought, yet everyone wants one.
This is the closest one in terms of sound I've seen to a J45. I was really disappointed tonally with the E6SS and the E10SS. This is way more what I'm looking for. Now, I just need to decide if a faded J45 is worth the extra $700 Great video!
Still ........ you talk to tooooooo much. I want to hear the guitar in standard tuning so I can hear the natural voice/sound the guitar presents. The way you played the E40D turned me away from Eastmam. Which is kinda funny because I own an E20D MR-TC.
Worst review ever. Guess how much I actually learned about this guitar from this 'review'? Nothing. In fact, the 'information' is quite misleading. Skinny neck? Nope. I own one of these as well as a 1960 reissue. This is not a skinny neck. It's a fatty. This guitar comes with speed knobs. Yours have been swapped. Where is the pick guard? And what about the pups? A modern version of PAFs. Which sound fantatsic, btw. And the weight? 10 lbs +/-. This guy should be fired. Total waste of oxygen.
