About my hair: Pattern: Coily/Type 4 (4a/4b maybe?) Density: High Porosity: Low Strand Thickness: Coarse
Good review! You may already know, Moknowshair now has an updated formula for these products. The smell is totally different and she has a few videos if you are interested. Thank you for sharing.
I have a question, I recently compared the honey hydrate leave in with wet line Xtreme gel, and as I was putting in my leave in I was having little specks of stuff on my hands . I’m Not sure if it’s residue, but I was wondering if this happened with you too
That happens sometimes if the products aren't formulated to work together. Usually that means you'll end up with flakes in your hair once it dries. To avoid that I usually test the products by mixing a little bit in my hand to see if it forms those clumps
I ended up redoing it after 2-3 days but I don't like frizz so a mousse wash & go will never last longer than that for me. I know people with looser curls though that can get more days out of it
Fun video for me. I prepoo. I have ADHD and I’m on the spectrum for autism. It helps that I break up the process. It’s less stressful and, if I want, I can do it over 2 days before I start the shampoo and twist process. It works for me. 😊
Just got my hands on the rosemary water .. I love it , I can feel the peppermint , the smell doesn’t bother me , cuz I kno it’s gonna have my locs healthy
I want all three of those water products, but I cannot afford to wet my hair any more than I do now, which is now every 4 or 5 days. I will prepoo with it, or maybe when I get lazy and wear a puff.
I definitely understand that. I don't wet my hair everyday so I don't follow the instructions like they say but when I do wet it these waters are very useful
Thank you! It's a gel polish brand called gellie beans. I tried to find it to link for you but it seems they are no longer in business as I cannot find them on a Google search. If I ever find a good dupe I'll be sure to come back and let you know
Thank you! I think overall I would rate the products I tried 8/10. I loved my results but the only thing missing was the moisture a little bit. Mousse don't typically last very long in my hair, this gave me about 3 days before I had to refresh it but it was super easy to refresh with Rosemary water and adding a bit more mousse. Thanks for your questions and thanks for watching!
I can definitely see that being an issue for someone sensitive to smell. I love the Rosemary scent. Have you tried any of the other waters from as I am? Maybe the scent won't be as bad for you with the rice water or jbco water
Hey beautiful Natalie! I’ve been MIA from RU-vid. I was so happy to get a notification for this video. Your results were really pretty. My son loves Rosemary Mint collections, especially Mielle’s line. I received a new product alert about this line from As I Am, a little while ago and it peaked my interest. I’m going to check out where it’s being sold. Do you find mousses to be drying, on its own? You look great🥰💜.
Hey love! I haven't been consistent on RU-vid myself so I'm trying to do better. Thank you! I do think some mousse can be drying alone but this one didn't feel dry, maybe because I used the Rosemary water underneath. I do wish there was a leave in conditioner in the line though
You can and I have seen a lot of people use oils as pre-poos. I personally don't prefer an oil to pre-poo because they don't typically have enough slip for my liking. This oil would probably be a good one in consistency though if that's your preference.
I recently discovered this gel online as I am currently in a 2 year hunt to find a new gel due to I'm allergic to wheat protein. Do you feel like it had a great hold? I'm 4b and I used to use aunt Jackie's don't shrink but had to stop due to my gluten allergy and the hydrolyzed wheat protein in it.
I do think it had really good hold. It does have a crunchy cast so if you don't like that maybe don't use as much product as I did or scrunch it with some oil but I liked the level of hold it had
Thanks for your comment... but actually in the natural/curly hair world density is used to refer to the amount of individual hairs per square inch on your head (or scalp). The more you know... 😁
Thanks for watching! I definitely like the brand. Their curl cream and hi definition gel are my go to's but I've pretty much liked everything I've tried from them
I have a suggestion. I got a great wash n go with Eden bodyworks almond hydration serum and Cantu creme gel. I used the almond serum as a leave in and next went in the cream gel. Would you consider using this a mix it up?
Oooh I'll have to try that. I never really liked the almond serum but I think it's because I was trying to use it as a styler. As a leave in sounds intriguing 🤔😁
Love a good empties stash if only my products moved empty a lil faster so I can try new things. I really like Mielle products I had to many to just cancel… I like her mousses a lot. I like that Rosemary mask too. Thanks for sharing
I agree everyone should do what works best for their hair. I’ve been natural for over 10 years and my hair has always been long. I have never prepooed and I’d say the past few years I’ve been deep conditioned religiously which I know has worked well for my hair. I would use the trelux product as a curl primer.
Thank you for sharing! I love that you know what your hair likes and stick with it. I'm going to try it as a primer again but with a different technique. Thanks for watching!
A lot of naturals need deep conditioners. When naturals complain to me that their hair is always dry and I ask them what their hair regimen is, they don't deep condition.
Thank you! It should be coming soon I've just been waiting for a time when the weather won't play me for a cream only wash & go 😂 I will definitely film that soon!
