Rode fixed gear MTB for about 6 years in my thirties, then stopped riding for about 5 years. Thanks for reminding me how rad it is, and that age is just a number. Going to ease back into it w my new geared fatty, but I never threw out those disc mounted cogs. thanks for the inspiration! 😎👽⚙️
lol.. Can we be friends?! Your wife sent me a link from off grid and homestead ladies. I am so inspired by the two of you! This video was absolutely amazing! Hats Off!!
I used to ride a track bike back in the 80s as a nyc bike messenger. That was a long time ago and these old bones have decided to get back on the bike. But, you know what? I don't quite feel it anymore, comfortable on the bike i mean. My feet are used to spinning and these free spinning gears are doing something to my biking equilibrium. I'm glad to see that riding a fixed gear in the woods can be done just as I once did it riding against one-way traffic on 5th ave on a double-rush run. Just looking at the vid sparked my brain neurons. I think I got a new project. BTW, what gearing or gear inches are you guys running? Thanks for posting this vid.
I rode fixed for seven years; last summer bought a 1x 29er and swapped the rear wheel for the fixed one. That seems now to be the funniest thing I've ever ridden
