Fender borrowed Alligator to replicate it. It was heavily modified, except for the pickups. That's 50s Fender Strat sound, but dialed in to perfection.

Im 66 yrs pld, and grew up in Southern California in a Heavily Mexican American area, and i was about 12 or 13 and i heard Santana being Played in Lowriders, on 8 Track Tapes, Blasting out of peoples homes it was Chicano power time in 1969/71 and as an Anglo Kid i wanted to be Chicano, listening to Santana music since i was 11 or 12!! Great Memories of Paramount, Cal. back then!!!
