Yes amp is fully modded to get you the classic and hot rodded high gain tones at any volume even bedroom. Switch toggles between classic crunch and high gain.
Don't believe everything you see and hear on RU-vid. I am the actual owner of this Limited Edition '65 Fender Twin Reverb Reissue, Serial Number CR-369090. I bought it new from a dealer in Nashville in early 2018. It has never been modified. I took it to Kruse Amplification for a minor repair in late 2019. While there, unbeknownst to me, Jens Kruse, the owner of Kruse Amplification, used my amp as a prop to make this and one other video. The audio that you hear in this video is coming from a different amplifier entirely. The volume control knob on the normal channel has been disguised by a sticker saying "GAIN". That is total BS! This amp is still original except for the tubes. Celestion Creamback Speakers my ass! I think Jens used my amp as a prop simply because it's pretty. Jens, you could have just asked me if I was cool with this from the start. I would have said yes, go ahead man, I don't mind. But, now that I see that you did this behind my back, I am rather disappointed in your lack of character. I am not angry, just disappointed. I like doing business with people who are straightforward and honest. That's why I now take all of my amps to The Amphole in Burbank, CA. Robert Dixon is an honest man, and he knows what he is doing. Integrity matters....trust is everything!
I find it incredibly ironic that these mods being done on the clean amps (like the Fenders) have an exponentially better, tighter tone, than all the Marshall mods I heard. For 20watt amps (give or take) to sound THAT tight, articulate, and percussive is absolutely astonishing to me....
This is absolutely stupefying that he was able to get a sound that f**king good/big out of a "clean" Fender amp. If he was able to do that, without effecting the clean tones this amp is known for, then this mod is a no-brainer to say the very least. WOW.....just f^^king.....wow. I had no idea this was possible.
Not at all. It sounds like that at ANY volume even low volume. Recording was done with Master Volume at 9-10 o clock, which is practice volume without coming close to hurting your ears.
I have to ask, anyway to know what you do to the preamp stage? I build my own pedals for something to do, and I got hooked on building preamp’s of amps using a 12vdc circuit to up the voltage to 200 plus volts. I am trying to create the ADA MP1 with both solid state and tube but reading the circuit is tough. I have looked at many Fender schematic and most of them are the same.
The DSL20H is a really good amp. All you need to do us play around with the controls and dial it into the guitar you are using. Sounds awesome with any guitar.
I love that you used the Eminence CV75’s for the video, they’ve got to be one of the best speakers I’ve ever used for any genre of guitar focused music. I usually play Hardcore Punk with solid state amps and the rich midrange of the speakers let’s me scoop the mids on the amp so that I can get more rich midrange frequencies without having to sacrifice that low mid grunt I love so much about certain amps like my Randall RG3003 and my Orange Crush Pro 120. Was the cab you were using rated at 8 ohms or 16 ohms by chance? I’ve noticed 16 ohm cabs really make these speakers shine and give the cabinet an almost Celestion Greenback kind of tone, but with a nice high end that you would get from a Mesa V30.
So that's what's wrong with my Stealth 50 W... They forgot to install the KRUSE KONTROL in there. Sounds like mud compared to my Marshall... Like they installed a low pass filter and neutered all brilliance if the amp, wvwn with the presence maxed. The Q is... I only see mods for the white version and the el34... What about the stealth? Thx
