I think the majority of owners have been using the bow livewell as their cooler, its much larger, now that its insulated it seems more practical. I do agree the one in the cockpit was nice, but overall the redesign seems well thought out, we're very excited about it!
Your flimsy jump seats look cheap and the holes for storage in both sides look like someone cut them out in their garage alot with lund looks cheap and over priced!!! I gotta pay extra because you wanna add human error with someone putting in rivets hopefully that person doesn't show up to work mad that day to work.. 😅
That motor is way overkill for that boat and just wastes money and gas. A 250 will plane it just fine. Spending double to go 10% faster makes no sense.
I have had 3 Trackers, and a Kenner bay boat, which all decent boats, and 2 Ranger fiberglass bass boats, which were very good boats. We have recently purchased our 2nd Lund aluminum boat and would rate both of them very highly, as well as our dealer for service after the sale. IMO, Lund's fit and finish is head and shoulders above that of Tracker and would definitely recommend Lund to anyone considering an aluminum boat.
I have actively used and enjoyed my 20 year old Lund Fisherman for the last 20 years and it still looks and operates like new. I see tracker boats that look 20 years old (hull dents and interior falling apart) that are only a few years old. Lund is simply the better built boat that can last a lifetime, if properly taken care of. Interestingly, I could sell my Lund today for about what I paid for it 20 years ago. One of the best Big Boy toy purchases I have ever made!
Can you share more information on the battery switch(es) that you installed? Interested in where/how. I have a 2023 1875 Pro Guide and will be putting in a house battery. I'd like to put a switch in, but battery compartment space is limited.
You're very much correct in saying the battery compartment space is limited. We had some definite trial and error when doing this. It wasn't perfect right out of the gate. Long story short, what we ended up doing was moving what I'll call the "electronics battery" This battery only ran the 4 graphs, to the starboard aft storage compartment, with a battery switch there to cut power on and off. This was a lithium battery. We then left the AGM battery with factory on / off switch in the factory battery storage compartment, this runs the engine, bilge, talon, horn, live well, and lights.
@@RogersPerformanceMarine2002 Yeah, looks like they dumped Attwood and are using Springfield "Plug-In" bases and posts now. We'll see if they are any better... Good overview, a lot of nice upgrades.
I own this boat. In order for the captain’s chair to spin and face rearward, the steering wheel must be tilted up and the seat slid to the limit. Steering wheel tilt limits the available space for the graph. My Helix 9 gimbal is mounted right of the steering wheel without much room to spare.
There are a lot of differences in the two boats. Width, fuel capacity, having two live wells, available options like under console drawers, and bow cargo nets are a few things the Impact has over the adventure. Both are great boats but definitely different.
@@hunnidisblack9337 again.. we fix boats and sell them. Not pretending to be video editing specialist or content creators. just trying to show people what's out there.
I personally owned an angler ss the first year it came out, I oringally had a 12v power drive that I added a 2nd battery to it, and it would work all day with both batteries, no issues. However, I did end up upgraded to a 24v powerdrive with ipilot, the extra thrust LBS was much better in wind or rough waters. So, long story short, if your primary focus is trolling and plan to do a lot of it, go with the 24v. If you're only trolling from time to time, the boat is light enough a 12v would work.
I have a Fury XL Tiller and an Angler 1650. The Fury XL has a bigger battery compartment that facilitates a 24v system. The Angler 1650 requires you to eat up storage space. My only complaint about the boat. Still, 24v is the way to go.
I have a 2023 Lund. It sounds like they are listening to customer feedback: The trailers they are putting these on are the BIGGEST pieces of sh!t ever made! Totally flimsy, and mine had some wannabe load guides that broke the first time I took my boat out. Plastic wheel wells, what a joke. The trailer is a modular, bolt together, flimsy, lightweight, piece of junk. If Lund wants to keep up with the big competitors like Ranger, Tracker, G3, etc. This needs to be addressed. I own 13 trailers, so I know a thing or 2 about them. I would be embarrassed to put my name on the side of these trailers. They don't give you a better trailer until get into the $100k boats. I really like my boat, but I'm in the market for a different trailer. That's a shame, especially considering Lund wants so much for their boats. I've been looking at the Tracker trailers, they are beastly made, extra bracing and welded together. Also worth mentioning, I live in Texas and I want to take my boat to Florida. I do NOT feel confident my trailer will make the trip. Something to keep in mind if you are considering a Lund. They use this same trailer for all their boats. And don't fall for the galvanized version, it's the same trailer. Plastic wheel wells! 😂
Sounds like you like your adventure, which is great! As for the trailer, we have to trailer our boats to all lakes in our area, 2+ hour drive time each way to the lake isn’t uncommon. We’ve been selling / using these shoreland’r trailers since 2005 and they’ve been great. Sure, some models come with plastic fenders, but even in our 110 temps they hold up well, and it’s not like they’re keeping the fact there plastic a secret. I’ve also hit their roller load guide’s multiple times coming in hot in bad weather to load onto the trailer and they’ve held up strong. It’s very possible you got a faulty part on yours, or it got hit too hard at some point, maybe before you purchased. Either way, comparing to a tracker trailer is comical😂 that’s one of their biggest complaints on all the tracker forums by their owners. They’re literally having the bow stops collapse underneath the boats while in tow to the lake, it’s very common. Sure, shorelandr could do a little more here and there, but overall the trailers are solid and reliable , take the thing to Florida and enjoy it brother!
Helix 9 w/Ram mount fits just fine on my '23 Adventure but I really like the redesign and kinda wish I had waited a year to get the '24. If only I had a crystal ball ;-)
Great review! You are the first person to look at different customizations. Thank you! It would be interesting to know which two graphs would fit side-by-side. It looks like a portion (a few inches) of the left most graph could be located in front of the support bar for the windshield. With that thought, I wonder if two 12" Garmins would fit side-by-side using the factory mounts.
