That ride blows, rode it 2 times last year the second time to give it another chance. It’s over so fast you think you missed something!!! Gate 1 2 3 done in a few seconds. Night is way way better but Space mountain is still better in every way.
I just bumped into the channel, I like the video. Great job. One thing I’ll say, is that Disney is trying to capture more market share, and that means they need to get younger millennials and gen Z’s money. So that’s why it seems their doing more skip the line options, they’d also benefit from a really good thrill ride. I’m not sure what park they’d put it in.
My husband and I just looked at booking Stella Nova resort and he asked me if it’s going to be delayed. He googled it and that was the rumor. Then I go to RU-vid and this video pops up…
The monsters inc roller coaster looks sick. I cant wait until its opened. Also scene monsters inc is going to be an entire land Im, surprised that only 1 ride was announced. That can't be right , there has to be a 2nd attraction. At least I would think.
I dunno how people don’t understand just how much space the Star Wars launch bay and area behind it takes up. Launch bay isn’t using the whole old animation building (which was massive) so the whole building plus the backstage space back there could easily be used for the ride plus the land. They don’t even need to tear down little mermaid and Disney jr (which they’d never let that show go so if they for some reason did need the space they’d just relocate the show). There’s absolutely no reason for them to decrease capacity at the park by getting rid of a ride or show for this new land since hollywood studios has an insane amount of free space. People are assuming it’s muppets based on one rumor by mickeyviews and taking it as fact and while it might’ve been a consideration by Disney to put it there, they know they need capacity at the parks especially when up against epic universe
Who knows where they put it but just basing my opinion (Jared here) off the fact that animation courtyard area has a lot of castmember based stuff back there and would probably cost them more to build there vs muppets area. There is concept art seemingly for both areas so who knows
If true I would guess maybe Harry Potter as their main ride is newer technology? Maybe they are having issue with it. I know Donkey Kong is new but they have one in I think Japan and is going to open soon.
Looking at all the construction progess I genuinely find that hard to believe. Construction permits say general construction can be done around December to January.
We love and have been doing universal for years. Kids have grown up a little, so we are ready to try it for the first time at the beginning of October. We are excited. Got a cabana to go all out.
There's lots of reasons over priced, rides are all ways broken down, food is insanely expensive for nothing, hotels are way way over priced with little to no themes, so many perks are gone and if they are still around you pay extra I used to love going now not so much
Interesting in the movies really didn't work out at all, seemed to die on the altar of Tom Cruise's Ego. I'd love to see these back in movies. Anyone ever read Sennan McGuire's Lost Children series? Reminds me of Down Among the Blood and Bones.
I do agree with that. It's wild when you know where this is going in and I just don't see how that whole area is going to be able to handle the traffic
I think an announcement about the park's opening date is a lot less interesting than the release of information about ticketing. How much will a single day ticket cost? Will there be a reservations system?
@@Whateverworkz Not so much pricing ... More about access (reservations) ... Plus they are implementing a facial recognition system -- according to Alicia at Theme Park Stop) ... Could you imagine the pitchfork and torches response from the internet howlers if Disney instituted a facial recognition system at their park entrances?
Universal already does facial recognition at both of their current parks. But it’s kind of half facial recognition. You still gotta have your ticket each time for them to scan, but then they take a picture of you to confirm that that’s you, and not someone else using your ticket. Basically instead of the attendant verifying your picture, a computer does
I've heard tentatively, that the target date is... last week of April to the first week of May. There will be cast member previews, then Media previews prior to opening. I've not heard anything about pass holder previews at all. Universal Orlando is currently talking to different travel agencies about packages and such. I'd expect within the next 6-8 weeks details on pricing and opening dates for Helios and park opening. Knowing about what I do about construction and the current operational readiness... I'd say that everything that I'm hearing seems to be in line with what we could expect. Honestly I'm up in the air about annual pass holders being able to use their passes for the new park. I believe they will be introducing a new pricing structure for annual passes. I believe that there will be an upgrade for the current pass holders to the new level of pass holders allowed to use the passes at the new park. That's if they'll even allow the park to be available to more than anything other than day ticket holders.
I did hear a rumour of May, so that might actual be about right, cant wait, as someone coming from accros the pond in the uk, going to be coming round september time
Everything!!!! I really hated what they did with the old Future World’s hub. It became an insipid and charmless plaza, that you can find for free in many big cities of the world. Nothing special to remember and nothing really with the impact that the old Epcot Center caused in all of us, in the early 80’s. 👎☹️
How come no one has talked about the possibility of Tier 1 rides being completely sold out by other guests whose 7 day advance window was before your 7 day window?
There are a lot of variables with it, once we are able to try it out and see how it works we will talk about more strategies. That issue is one that is a possibly for sure
The total land size of the whole area will nearly double the existing Universal land mass but Epic Universe itself is around 100 acres which is in line with MK, and the other Universal parks
The end results of the Epcot revamp are horribly disappointing, but I get the budget was thrown with the pandemic. Still doesn’t give an excuse for the replacement area for the fountain. I’m sure Communicore Hall will end up being a lot better utilized with the next festival, but it’s also pretty ass.
It's hard for them to use COVID as a reason when Universal ramped up their construction during the same time period. It just seems there was a massive budget cut somewhere along the way and the end result was a plain building for Communicore Hall
This is what you get after you run off all the best at WDI. Then say NO ORIGINAL ideas allowed, ONLY IP! This looks like a generic airport or convention center design, NOT Disney. No story, no real theming. What corporate disney now says is "theming" is throw IP on it and that's enough! The whole EPCOT redo is lame. Plus the fact that many of the aspects don't function right or at all. They took almost 6 years for this JUNK and don't blame covid. Universal dealt with it too and built many things during the same time and took less time and did it better. If they were going to do an open area, they should have at least put unique sun shades NOT umbrellas.
Reasons I like the retheme: 1. It's Princess and the Frog, I adore that movie and all the characters. 2. The animatronics are FABULOUS 3. A mix of songs we know and love from the movie AND a Disney Park original song. Reasons I dislike the retheme: 1. I will forever be nostalgic towards Splash Mountain, it was in my top 3 favorites. 2. The amount of dead space in section one of the ride. 3. Where the heck is Naveen??? one animatronic at the end, that's it? :( 4. The story is a bit silly in my opinion, it's simple, too simple. 5. Bad setup for the drop anticipation. No thrill! 6. Also, why did we get turned into frogs?? and why so much Mama Odie?? 7. A retelling of the movie would have made made this retheme a HUGE hit! : A. Dr. Facilier is a great villain with arguably one of the best Disney villain songs. B. Seeing Ray and his love for Evangeline in the ride would have been SO cute! RIP.. Unfortunately, the good does not outweigh the bad... This ride does not feel like it will go down as a beloved ride in Disney Parks history.. They should scrap a bunch and start fresh... Tweak the current story and add more to the first portion of the ride, or another complete overhaul to the movies story line lol.
