Its a privilege to play in the nhl or any elite sport. It's not a right. It's not just given to you. Well, the exception is LeBron and his son. Lakers are crazy. Anyway, I dont understand these player's. If a team is willing to pay you a ridiculous amount of money to play a sport. Be happy that a team wants you and is willing to take a risk with you. Earn your spot. Dont just assume you will be placed on the top line. Rutger needs an ego check and a reality check. When your contract is up and you want to leave. Say good bye then go. Dont make demands when you have not even played a single nhl game. He has not proven he is ready to play with the big boys.
problem is they drafted Zeev. Brodin is on a long term deal as well. Middleton becomes the easiest player to move. Probably doesn't get traded but it means he probably plays 3rd pairing going forward.
@@acebeaupre7306 yeah but Merrill will be gone next year and the Spurgeon situation isn’t looking too good. They might look to LTIR him for the rest of his career if he can’t stay healthy. Also they won’t trade him this year or next because they just resigned him. My guess though is Zeev will finish this year with Denver, do a year in the AHL afterwards, and then make the Wild so you have two years to decide if you keep Middleton
Fr offer sheets just spice things up so much I want big names getting offered sheeted where the other teams forking picks the other way like Wyatt Johnston or Luke Hughes
@@bacondog5617 that’s one reason that teams are incentivized to lock guys up early. If someone goes after Luke Hughes, Jersey will start world war three 🤣🤣
@@undraftedhockeyfan one more thing it was marian hossa curse . pens lost 08 had him . wings lost 09 wen they had him . good player but that dont look good
@@jamiethompson2175 IMO if they break them up, Crosby will go to Colorado to play with Mackinnon, Malkin will go to the Caps to play with Ovi, and Letang is still up in the air. Maybe Florida? Lol
Let's be real he just wanted out of Winnipeg, he's probably crying tears of joy in AHL living somewhere normal. Winnipeg is like Barrow Alaska only with paper canadian currency... no thanks
Georgiev is ass, but the problem is who's gonna come in and be a starter? Merzlikins might be the vest out there since all the legit starting goalies that were trade targets have been traded lol (and they're not getting Gibson I don't think)
@@sens_outlook I agree with Merzlikins going to Colorado. Probably have Colorado throw in a pick with him. Also, with all the guys injured right now, Colorado could pick up a roster player
@undraftedhockeyfan yeah. Going across eras with any of these lists is always the most difficult part imo. Breaking it down by position or keeping all positions equal is just as difficult, too. But seeing as though you specifically mentioned Mt. Rushmore, I took that to be the 4 best to ever do it, at any position.
@@bacondog5617 I like the player too!! It’s the management side that gets rid of guys quickly. However, they did win a cup very quickly so it’s a trade off
@@undraftedhockeyfan As a big knights and I think he’ll stay mcnabb will be gone and Korzak will come in the salaries should work out not sure why we didn’t get Hague on a long term deal when we got whitecloud on that beautiful deal. And it’s all how media portrays us we’ve kept plays quite long and when ur not drafting super high not a lot of original talent will be made. The media did us dirty though on when fluery left and then marchy. Media flipped the script and said we didn’t wanna pay em when we offered a fair contract. Are management is arguably the best in the league and the media hates us
@@bacondog5617 yeah with McNabb’s age and contract, they’ll just let him expire. Vegas management is definitely one of the best at making hard decisions, which is what makes them so good! The Fleury trade was a mess but it did work out long term for them with a cup
Why is that funny to watch a guy struggle? He’s probably a good guy and he’s worked extremely hard to get to be in the NHL and now he’s got to move down. I don’t know how that’s worthy of ridicule. Am I missing something here?
Actually he probably has attitude issues and cocky. There’s a reason why players have agents that help with decision making. To think your too good for an nhl team before you even play a game then request a trade shows me this kid is likely uncoachable as well and the rest of the league sees that too
@@ima2020presidentcandidate I mean we don’t know if he’s actually doing that just like I don’t know if he’s a good guy. The video seems like it’s out of left field and that’s why I’m asking if I’m missing something. Maybe he knows something we don’t like inside information or something along those lines? However to just belittle him out of pure speculation seems strange.
@@lukeleonard3382 he assumed he would make the Jets lineup, which is a bit arrogant. Jets couldn’t guarantee it so he requested a trade. Goes to Pitt, which has more room for him in the top six and still can’t compete with them. To me, he may be overconfident, which you like to see in a player, but you have to be realistic as well. If the team doesn’t think you can keep up in a top six role, which he should given his talent and draft position, then he would be better served in the AHL, getting top line competition, instead of being on the third line of the Pens. That being said, the reason I though it was funny was because he made a PUBLIC trade request, which makes the Jets lose all leverage after drafting and helping this kid become a pro, and then burns them on his way out. I should clarify that it is funny to me because he is getting his ego checked, which hopefully is good for him long term
He led the pre season in points tied with a 7th overall pick from the same draft , the same seventh overall pick that would have been a second if teams knew he’d be coming to North America Sooner
@@jesseboyer4879 yeah but preseason points depends on competition they are facing. It is a positive sign but not an indicator of future success. However, I do like Honzek and if he is half as good as Michkov is supposed to be, I think Calgary will be super happy with the pick lol
Jaybirds cap hit opinion on drai and mcdavid is fucking wild lol. Barkov isnt better than drai and mcdavid.....You save cap on one year deals, prospects, and low-end veterans not on generational talents 😂 Second he said larkin is better than drai i had to turn it off
