John is very unrealistic. The current reality is that the US cannot contain China simply because they have managed to get it into partnership with Russia through misguided, provocative foreign policy. They simply can't handle this created partnership. I haven't even mentioned BRICS that's working wonders for both China and Russia together the entire Global South
Why hasn't Sachs signed his the title of his house over to the Russian government like he wants Ukraine to do with their land? It's not escalation for Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with US weapons after Russia has struck deep into Ukraine with Iranian weapons. That's not escalation, that's reciprocity.
I’ve lost faith in you while my opinion of Trump has surprisingly grown. He can deceive you just like his MAGA supporters. You throw him a soft question, and he responds with vague promises, yet you act like it’s a major win. He claims he’ll end the Ukraine war and immediately delves in the past without providing a clear plan for now, and you seem satisfied with that. There’s no scrutiny of his views on Putin and his war crimes. When asked about the conflict in Israel, he simply states it wouldn’t have happened if he were president, boasting about his capabilities without specifics. His positions on taxes, tariffs, and inflation are similarly vague, yet you accept his answers. He doesn’t explain how tax cuts will reduce debt or how firing key government officials or eliminating DOE will pay the debt, especially when they’ll likely be replaced by his loyal supporters. If tariffs are raised to 100% or more, how will we avoid inflation and remain connected to the world? Who will want to do business with us -Russia? If Russia has to choose China or US guess who they will pick. And what about January 6, the largest coup attempt in U.S. history? What about his failure to uphold his oath to the Constitution? I could go on and on. I’m looking for real answers. The only thing Trump didn’t do is finish the All in pod with, “and I approve this political commercial.”

Vance said he would not have "certified" the results of the 2020 election. This would simply have sent the results of the election to the House of Representatives for resolution. Each state would get one vote. Trump would have been declared the winner if each state honored their popular vote. Did any of the media report this constitutional fact? Not one media outlet, not even Fox, NewsMax , NewsNation or One America news "educated" the populace to this constitutional fact.

The most mortal point of realism in IR is that they assume all countries are alike. Assuming China would act exactly like the US once it became regional hegemony is simply not well-founded. The US has made lots of mistakes in foreign policy just because it assumed wrongly others (Russia is an example).
