To say this is total garbage would be to simply be an a****** who doesn't appreciate different styles of guitar playing this guy can certainly play heavy thrash music with lots of power cords fast alternate picking and down strokes on the lower strings and can change time and groove with the background very competently the only criticism is not of his plane but is of the pppp that this is somehow higher level improvisational guitar playing it's certainly great playing given the genre but improvisational to stylists do a hell of a lot more in terms of developing ideas and flowing then this particular player check out Guthrie govan Enrique's channel where he plays over Larry Carlton backing track and Albert King backing track and finally a Robben Ford backing track check out anything by Larry carlton, Robben ford, Pat Metheny George benson, Derek trucks, Jerry Garcia in a certain key shows such as the Scarlet begonias Fire on the mountain version played in 1977 in Ithaca New York p at Cornell college in the month of May any jazz or like Joe pass come on coltrane, Miles Davis Charlie Parker, would beg to differ with this being considered the best improvisational playing ever as I don't necessarily know that I would call it improvisational playing I suppose he is improvisational playing because he appears to be making up these metal riffs in rhythms that are interesting off the cuff but are hardly in the running for the greatest riff in metal ever played or even one of the top 1000 greatest hits in metal ever played in I'm sure this guy can play the guitar and do lots of cool things put the fact that he chose to showcase his talent doing this cacophony of power cords basically playing a first and a fifth and then using lots of pinch harmonics playing lots of pedal tones on the E and A String at the various double bass drum metal beats is something that most confident metal guitar players have and the grades of specially like Dave mustaine and James hetfield Alex skolnick pretty easily pull off. Some of the guys like Berntbh on this channel would easily play some pretty impressive p harmonically melodically and rhythmically Rich metal improvisational lines are we comparing him to John petrucci. Cass lake George Lynch.. the guitar player from the band death? This song was seems like it's kind of a joke in terms of the title also I don't believe the player is a joke but I don't believe the player believes he's the best improvisational guitarist of all time
Excellent! If they ever remake the TV show Babylon 5, you definitely need to contact them. This would be a great song about the Mars Colony. I went to iTunes to buy this video, but it only lists the audio. Great work.
The longevity of this video is astronomical. I first saw this when I was 16 years old, didn't even have a driver's license. I'm watching this again for the first time in a long time at 33 years old.
Oh we meet again, my old friend. Been around 13 years since I saw this along with all the guys making Canon guitar solos. Good times indeed. Mattrach ZaK Kim and the others. Love it.
I used to hear this in my room wen i was learning guitar 6-7hrs a day.. used to good around such random videos but this one got stuck into my head.. i was 21 back then.. hd sent this link to my band on email.. i am 38 now, not playing guitar, band broke up.. and life happened😢
I plugged in my PS3, then checked the internet bookmarks I had on there, and here you are. Still sounds as good as day 1. I'm thankful to be reminded this exists. Hope you're doing well Mr. MeShow!
I commented on another video of yours saying that your channel was one of the first channels i came across when i first found out about youtube. Here i am 17 years later trying to find thos channel to showy gf my sense of humor when i was a kid. thanks for the laughs. I hope everyone is doing well. 😊
This was one of the first videos I watched when I found out about RU-vid. I'm here 17 years later (I'm now 30) to tell everyone that it took me a while to find this video to show my gf as I'm laying in bed to show her my childhood sense of humor. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm going to subscribe to keep this memory because it took me a while to find this video! take care everyone! 🥹🙂
After all these years, your video and message are still SO VERY relevant that I almost envy your idea, while at the same time appreciating how much work you put into creating this music video. Thank you for doing what you do and for inspiring new people like me. Thanks to you, I started making music videos for my friends' band, and we're having so much fun both creating the videos and knowing that people are watching and enjoying our work! Thank you! I hope everything is going well with you and that the music is on your side. Best regards!
