I have an 05 450 and after it gets warmed up and you rev it , it doesn’t wanna idle down. Or if you’re riding and hit the gas it doesn’t idle back down, it takes a while before it does. Almost like it sticks
Check throttle cable to make sure it slides smooth as well as the slide inside the carb if both are good, hanging idle is usually sign of being too lean. Might have to adjust fuel screw
That's my problem. i live in AZ, and i ran mine for 15 mins and it cut out. tried to drain the bowl, and no fuel came out. . Wait 30 mins and starts back up. Thanks, I'll do the same.
My engine light comes on and off , when I floor it and pass 60mph it will turn on and loose power . Keep riding it and it won’t go higher than 6k RPM .
Great video. Question)- If you had about half an inch play in steering handlebar on a atv with EPS while in park and not running, would your first thought be the problem is with the EPS unit itself and needs to be replaced?
No sir id check tie rods and steering stem bushings, anything steering related before doing the eps unit. I had an outlander 850 that had steering slop and was lower steering stem bushing. Replaced and steering was tight.
Nice video but seriously. You run it with that nasty air filter. Step 1 pull the plug get an idea if its rich or lean . Step 2 get rid of that air filter. Install a pro flo system and leave the lid off. Go back to stock jetting plus 1 or 2 rich. The stock needle is the one you had, no adjustment. Then bypass the tps sensor with a bypass plug.
I was just wondering as to are you using or leaving in place the old pump and filter and adding this new one outside as you show it? not clear? I assume you are using old? looks hard to get removed and adding extra length fuel line to front? Thank you Lookinh great.
