Hey man I’m a year late to this, but I’m finally starting my CFI training. I’ve bought my lesson plans thru backseat pilot and have been beating my head on what to do with all of the info and have just been overthinking it. You single handedly cleared it all for me with this video man, I appreciate you🙏 Blue skies
Happened to me several times. A small mishap and the rest of the conversation is trash. But keep in mind, nothing bad happens and no one will remember this situation except you.
Good for student but instead of woa you need to say my controls. This cannot be stressed enough you didn’t immediately declare command and you couldn’t be an airline pilot without doing so. Just a tip
It was whenever I learned that slow flight compliments final approach that I’ve not only learned how to nail all different kinds of landings, but felt like I could actually control the plane
I was at 3500 feet doing power off stalls... i think i was 180⁰ to the ground and my instructor just let me correct myself. I realized i wanted to live & I remembered to pull back the yoke and increase speed to live. I dont think i even thought about it lol
That was smart for you to laugh like that knowing it’s not a big deal, a new student doesn’t know better and reacts off the CFI. Always keeping calm and cool helps the student relax and absorb more from the lesson. Maslows Hierarchy of needs student must feel safe before learning can begin.
One of my old instructors put the trim tab all the way nose down and held pressure against it without me knowing.. then passed controls to me and let go of his back pressure, immediately the planes flings itself nose down and I think we’re gonna die so I yell and he laughs.. a few months later I get him back the same way. At that moment we both gained mutual respect and trust in a weird way.. I still talk to that instructor, what a chad
