one thing i hated about alot of the missions in sniper elite was that you HAD to go loud in order to complete a mission , which i somewhat hate because i try to avoid killing most enemies unless they are key targets like radio operators etc , killing everyone on the map feels unprofessional from a commando standpoint and overall meh , i get the same feel in most games where stealth is a big part of the gameplay a sabotage mission turns into a bloodbat which ends up feeling unsatisfying , and since i immediately went into sniper elite 4 on authentic plus without the hud basicaly it meant that enemy never stopped searching for me
I thought it was best war video game game. I was playing this game while i was actually in the infantry in the usmc. They did a good job making the game realistic in regard to combat tactics in urban terrain.
The way you analyse and talk about games is so refreshing. Straight to the point and I think you’ve got keen eye for what works and what doesn’t in gameplay. Plus I love your humor. 😆 Can’t wait for more AC videos, gonna watch your other videos in the meantime.
I plan to play this using my pc game pass but I think after watching your video, I need to adjust my expectation. The gameplay seems more like Splinter cell colbined with hitman. It's SPYner Elite.
One of the major gripes I have in this game that I have not seen mentioned in a lot of written reviews of this game and in this one, is Karl's movement and handling. In 4 you could run while crouched, crouch mid run, and the the transition between different stances was snappier. They also took away the ability to change the camera side with the right stick in exchange for doing it in the radial menu and took away going from OTS with a half press of the aim trigger to first person aim with a full press of the trigger. It makes me miss sniper elite 4 when I'm playing as clunky Karl in sniper elite 5. In four you just moved near an item like a grenade, mine, bandage, medkit, i.e. Consumables and he'd just pick them up. In 5 you have to manually aim at each individual item you want to pick up. I appreciate you taking the time to make this review, it makes me feel a little vindicated that there are things about this game I felt were off but couldn't get a grasp on being illustrated in this video. Thank you.
Not sure if you'll see this but at around 10:30 you say you weren't sure if AC1 told you explicitly if Lucy was on the side of the Assassins, but there is a scene where she reveals to desmond she is missing her ring finger, which gets removed when you become an assassin. I'm sure there's more I cant remember rn lol
@@Analog_Nightmare haha after checking from the game and NOT memory, she just bends it back to show the general idea. But still! Pretty cool writing imo
I know this was unintentional, but according to the letters and stuff, the scientist you saved, wernicke, is the only one of them that isn’t an a horrible person
The feathers do more than just an achievement. You get a weapon from Mario at 50 feathers and the Auditore cape at 100 feathers. The weapon also counts towards the villa completion, as do the feathers.
Haha thanks for letting me know, I'm playing through Brotherhood again for the next game and I've set myself the rule that I need to 100% everything for this reason.
I just finished it again plus the DLC earlier today. I enjoy 5 the most. Just started 4 again straight after and it just feels so much older and less fun. 5 spoiled me, which is expected with each new title.
Hahaha going back and replaying it felt similar, I remember when I first played it though I was so keyed into what was happening on screen the levity was appreciated haha
What i would like aswell, would be more ways to asassinate high level targets eather by poison, explotion, car accident..... all the good stuff from kill hitler missions, but this time implemented to the main game and once you do those accident assassinations you would get a coll cutcene, but also more importanly a Major event that would favour the player in some way...... like idk soldiers leaving their posts to get a medic or call the infermary.....and when i say leave they Actually leave outside of mission, making your job easier, something like that. also dogs i belive its a good idea to hear you or scent you, but i think also having radio operatior back in SL6 would be good, but make it better in a way by allowing to call in armour like panzer 2, 3, stugs...... and make the game more "lively" and at the same time stop the running and gunning all the time. I belive these would be good changes in my opinion:)
Yeah, I guess it’s just that kind of game, people on PC tend to get a bit frustrated in SE (multiplayer anyway) for some reason. I think the controls might just handle better on console
I loved the whole video! And the channel :) But I just wanted to say, I adored the reflexes of an empty ketchup bottle joke, I thought it did make send and was amusing 🤷🏻♂️
Sniper Elite 4 as of now is the peak of the series. Much bigger levels than 3 but still being fun. Sniper Elite 5 maps are bigger, but then they proceed to make highway funnels to pull the player away from sniping. Sniper Elite 4 war factory mission is way better design than 5. Sniper Elite 4 has more multiple paths to stealth while sniper Elite 5 made their maps more like 3.
5 was clearly unfinished. There are many more bugs than 4 Missing features that were clearly advertised Downgrade on map design and ai intelligence Abysmal DlC, apart from the weapons overall and Kraken Awakes
Honestly it's light enough that, if your PC isn't running it happily, you could pretty easily run an XP virtual machine, they're pretty much plug n play nowadays!
7:10 you mentioned Kraft dinner, hello fellow Canadian 😅 the Americans have no idea what you’re talking about. Edit: what the hell is the Moyzin rifle?! It’s Mosin pronounced “Moe-Zin”
I've been trying to pronounce weapon/names/places with the proper pronunciation from wherever they originated. What you heard was what I will call "an attempt" 😉
@@Analog_Nightmare if you had to buy just one of the DLC’s what one would you get? I recently bought the base game on steam sale. Now I want the DLC so I either have to buy the deluxe edition and then I would’ve just bought the base game for no reason, or…. Buy just one DLC. If I buy just both the DLC with the base game it comes to 58$ with the base game. And the deluxe is only 34$ :( I messed up. Both DLC’s are more than 20$ so what one should I get?
I liked this game. I only wished there were more buildings and things to do but it was alright. I do wish the actual island was made of LEGO as well. I suppose it's meant to be like the toy sets, brick on real land. But still....a LEGO world should be all LEGO. I also wanted a huge LEGO city like Laura rides around in.
Invasion Mode is probably the root cause of most mentioned issues. Dunno if they found it too late in design, but probably found test-players weren't engaging / too hard to locate / then sniped from nowhere, and had to plaster fix it. Hence areas bounded by invis walls to force choke points, telephones and wallhack vision, limiting panzerfausts (re: noobtube PvP issues), trees placed to limit sight lines - all there to get Karl and invader to be able to locate and engage, and not just sniped (especially with Empty Lung easiness) from way across the map. Even the way the jaeger always appears within medium distance proximity to Karl i think hints at this notion of forcing encounters. Is the mode fun? Sure. But it had impacts on game design, and hence the singleplayer possibilities. Prob prefer if the video pondered this stuff more, and less step-by-step of each mission.
9:15 That's a good point. The final DLC really should have been a D-Day expansion with some new skins. Imagine the Saving Private Ryan references with a sniper in the bell tower, maybe a wounded soldier shooting a tank with a pistol, cool shit like that. I know they never said D-Day was gonna be in the game but it's a bit misleading for it to be the backdrop of the cover art.
I've never felt compelled to comment this before but how do you not have more subscribers? Your voice is the ideal video game reviewer voice and you're so coherent Also the Lee Enfield became my main rifle when it was released. I originally was using the K98 for its stopping power but I figured an Enfield would be more practical for an actual field sniper and infiltrator
The best way to play this game is to play it like ghost recon wildlands or modern hitman. Lethal and quiet. Once you raise the alarm the game loses its charm
