I STOPPED USING THOSE COUPLERS FOR REASONS, I NOW JUST PUT A SHORT CABLE WITH LUGS. AS FAR AS ALUMINIUM PLATE,.....NOT THE BEST,....SOLENOIDS WILL BE TOO HOT FOR THE PLATE TO DICIPATE HEAT,....
Noids can be discouraging wen experiencing the 1st electrical fire hazards. But once you realize the sypmptoms/signs of it failing, it aint too bad. Having them set up with easy access is a plus too...👍🏽
Dudes got a rag 59 randomly chilling, and the 63rag wth! Lol. Wonder how many garages are like this out there? Ive got a 57, 60, 64 drop chilling the same way!
While it’s a god idea it’s also not a good idea aluminum is not the best conductor of electricity it’s ok but also not a good ground either. I’d be more worried about the grounding of the noids
I Did this 20 years ago with 1/0 cable and 1/0 car audio wire couplers that have the Allen bolt to tighten it down. Also using the aluminum plate as a heat sink does not work in this application because the heat is centralized internally on the solenoid copper posts and copper washer contractor, not the solrnoid mounting braket. If you value your lowrider use HD electric forklift contactors instead of 12v solenoids...serious street and pit hoppers know this secret....enjoy.
I never heard of this and just looked them up. They seem legit, esp. for higher voltage systems. I’m not a pit hopper, but I do value my car and have had some close calls. They are significantly more expensive than accumax or motorcraft…Are you connecting several together like you would with regular solenoids or can you get away with only using one per bank since they’re HD?
Stunning footage. I love Havana but it is most impressive these days from the air. And I have seen pics of Centro Havana in the 50's....The city is a ghost. Tragic but fascinating nonetheless. And Cuba is just breathtaking . ~:)<333
